There are two sewing machines right in the store, and everything is made in Sweden. The designs are delightful and the fabrics are workmanship are quality. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at the prices! The dollar is strong right now and these items were much less than I thought they would be. I bought a computer case, a makeup case, some dish towels and other gifts. Don't miss Hilda Hilda when shopping in Stockholm!

Very nice shop with a choice of sweaters, woolen goods, mittens, etc. A very good stop for Christmas shopping. Lots of traditional designs and items that are current in tastes. And yes, some items are now manufactured outside of Sweden, but they would not be easily found outside of this shop. Definitely different and worth a stop if you are in the market for something that is Swedish in woolen goods -- sweaters, mitten, yarn, etc. Near the Vans and Suitsupply if you are navigating. In the shopping district. Great staff too -- very helpful to out of the country shoppers.

You will definitely find something nice here in this cute shop far away from the main tourist drag.

Last Christmas I ended up at this shop at the recommendation of my Airbnb host. I was looking for some Swedish mementos that I could use for years to come, that emulated the beautiful Scandinavian design asethetic, and that weren't touristy chintzy. Enter Iris Hantverk. They carry a diverse array of fabrics, blankets, china, brushes, and some contemporary clothing and shoes. At holiday time they also stock stylish ornaments and decorations. The Klippan wool blankets are a particularly good value, with many priced under $100 USD. During these cold days of winter, I still burrow in my blanket on a regular basis. They also offer complimentary gift wrapping for your purchases. This particular store is located in Stockholm's picturesque and often tourist-crowded old town, Gamla Stan, and is much smaller than the other one that I also visited at Kungsgatan 55 in the more central Normmalm neighborhood. The larger store carries more clothing and furniture, as well as wider variety of blankets. They also have an online shop, but alas it currently only ships to addresses in Sweden.

We were drawn into this tiny little store on a cold day by the lovely, warm-looking sweaters featuring classic Norwegian / Swedish designs. Prices are by no means inexpensive, but given the quality of the embroidery and materials (boiled wool, merino wool), I have no complaints. Sizes run fairly large (as is typical in Sweden), but if you are a petite woman, there are lovely (Scandinavian sized) children's sweaters as well, which are likely to fit. In the back, there are adorable clogs and sandals -- think red and white polka dots -- and they sell hats and gloves in similar designs as the sweaters. Our sales person was very personable, a slightly older middle-aged woman who had spent years living in Manhattan, Canada, and Asia, she said. Her co-sales person did not interact with us at all. It's tight quarters in this store, more hole-in-the-wall than "boutique" as the receipt describes it. But we have no complaints about the quality of our purchases. The products sold here are several levels of quality up from the typical tourist-centric stores we came across in Gamla Stan.
