And then went over and beyond to help us find some important paperwork in my gmas place!! And SHE FOUND IT!! Thank goodness- And the whole time she was so patient and her voice so calm and soothing-- as she meticulously looked for it. Thank you BARBARA for your loving and kind self. And way to go San Clemente Villas for hiring such awesome employees!!!! Ok so I wanted to write another new review about the staff and San Clemente Villas by the Sea. But it will only allow me to add to this original post! June 12,2020- I wanted to personally thank the extra help from Esmeralda! Because of Covid19 my grandmother has been on "lock-down" and I'm happy to say that they have kept all residents safe and sound during this Pandemic! We had some banking issues during this time and things my grandmother needed to handle and yet couldn't leave the premises. Wells Fargo "could not" help us- So after several attempts and getting letters notarized by Esmeralda at the Villas... we were finally able to accomplish our goals! Esmeralda was so awesome and always willing to help us at a moments notice! I can't thank her enough! Also, the Villas allowed us to have a parade for my grandmothers 101st BIRTHDAY! What a memorable event with many beautifully decorated cars, music, live music, car parade and then foot parade in the entry of the Villas! This is a great place to live. The owners and staff truly care for all of the residents. Thank you so much San Clemente Villas.

My mom has lived at The Seville since January 2025. If I had to describe our experience in one…read moreword, it would be **partnership**. Dementia is hard. Moving someone you love into memory care is hard. Even the best community cannot make it easy. What it can provide is more support, more expertise, more connection and more people helping you navigate something none of us has a perfect roadmap for. That is what we have found at The Seville. The hospitality, setting and attention to detail are second to none. The upstairs community room--with its deck and 180-degree view of the Pacific--is magical. I wish it were my family room. And yes, all of this really happens: * Fresh flowers, linens and special coffee cups on the tables * Weekly music, poker, crafts and beautifully curated holiday celebrations * Regional dinners that become experiences--Italy through VR, an opera singer and limoncello spritzes * Petting zoos brought to the community * Guys' nights organized by Hector, the master of gathering people--pizza and beer, bowling or trips to the driving range * On-site physical therapy, Hoag at Home services and quarterly wellness reviews * An on-site salon where my mom gets highlights, blowouts and precious girl time with Aubrey--a magical human who loves Mom like family * Photos and joyful snapshots that let us share in her days, even when we aren't there * Jennifer turning what could be a long day into one filled with activities, engagement and connection What matters most to me is that this life is not reserved for assisted living. Residents living in memory care are included and have experiences thoughtfully created for them. My mom is not simply kept safe, fed and medicated. She is invited to participate, laugh, dress up, wear her coral lipstick and continue being **Terry**. Staffing and retention are challenges throughout senior living- from the front and back of the house to med-techs, caregivers, executive directors and nursing leaders. The Seville is still a young community, and it continues working to find the right mix of people. There have been transitions. I won't pretend otherwise. But with each one, we learn together, make adjustments and become better and stronger. Most importantly, the core medical and care team our family depends on has remained. Those relationships, that knowledge of my mom and that continuity matter enormously. The people here know her personality, routines and quirks. They laugh with her, care about her and welcome our family into the community. I never feel as though we handed Mom over at the front door. We don't always get everything right. Neither do they. Dementia doesn't give any of us that luxury. Needs change, people change and what worked yesterday may not work tomorrow. What matters is having people willing to listen, adjust, problem-solve and keep working with you. One of my biggest lessons has been this: **The best Senior Living Community is not a place where something is done to a person or for a family. It is something we build together.** If you are looking for perfection, you won't find it in Senior Living, asssited living, dementia or memory care. But if you want people willing to become true partners in a life chapter--and a community committed to creating moments of beauty, belonging and joy - that is what our family has found at The Seville.

My grandmother was a…read moreresident there, and from the beginning, we felt that the staff genuinely cared about her well-being and comfort. What stood out most was the personal attention she received. The caregivers were attentive, patient, and always treated her with respect. They took the time to get to know her, and that personal connection meant a lot to our family. We will always appreciate the care Raya's Paradise provided to my grandmother and the reassurance they gave our family during an important time in her life. We are thankful to the entire team for everything they did for her.

My personal experience ranged from being fooled by the appearance in the beginning to being disappointed when senior support staff left within the first year and then disbelief when my mom was injured and I experienced a lack of care that should have been there and is actually legally required. The caregivers are not properly trained, especially in dementia care. I didn't move my mom out in time to avoid harm. This place is a solid no.

We are Blessed to be here, so anyone that has had a bad experience with mgmt. needs to address that with them. Foolishly, I didn't look at the Yelp reviews prior to inquiring about this place, because it would have saved me from having to interact with the most unfriendly, unprofessional person I have perhaps ever had the displeasure of speaking with! This woman, Donna, has an attitude from the moment she answered the phone. She seemed agitated with my questions to the point that I didn't feel comfortable asking more than a couple. NEWS FLASH! When you're looking for a residence for elderly family member, you're going to have questions! Why would I blindly send her off to live somewhere sight unseen?!! Obviously many people must, because there is no way anyone who has ever spoken to this woman on the phone would ever consider living there! I can only imagine what these poor tenants have to deal with if they ever need anything or have a question; God forbid a complaint! After seeing the other reviews I am actually appalled that this woman is still there. Who is the owner of this building?!! I intend to find out, because now I see that she is also putting these tenants' health in jeopardy! Seriously?!! Unacceptable! UPDATE-It has been brought to my attention that she is an avid opponent of social distancing and self-isolation during this Coronavirus pandemic! I am going to be contacting the owners of the building because she is knowingly putting everyone who comes in contact with her at risk. I find this extremely disturbing. A very concerned person has left more pictures and proof yesterday and now they have been taken down, I'm sure at the response of the business owners, which I find very irresponsible of YELP! Im absolutely horrified that this woman is actively around elderly as we speak and the public would have no way of knowing were it not for these reviews!
