I just think it makes its easier on everyone involved. Lol I saw Dr Stevenson years ago and came back to him again. Such a nice professional doctor. Easing fears. His assistant nurse is like a friend the first time you meet her and on surgery day made me so relaxed. Dr Stevenson even checked up on me that night with a phone call. Don't hesitate to call!!! When I arrived, she wasn't necessarily rude, but definitely not welcoming or compassionate either. From the start, Patricia and Dr. Yousef rushed through the procedure. They did not allow enough time for the anesthesia to fully work. I told them I could still feel pressure and pain, and they brushed it off as "normal." What followed was the most traumatizing and painful dental experience of my life--I was literally screaming and crying while they extracted my tooth, fully aware of the pain I was in, while I am visibly 6 months pregnant. Instead of slowing down and being gentle, Patricia repeatedly told me to "stay calm," which felt incredibly dismissive given what I was going through. I've had years of dental work done--braces for 5 years, six wisdom teeth pulled at once--and nothing compares to how excruciating and careless this procedure was. When it was over, Patricia just handed me a bag and said, "Okay, you're finished." The doctor never spoke to me about aftercare, nor was I prescribed any pain medication. I left in tears and sat in my car crying for an hour afterwards. This was hands down the worst dental experience I've ever had. They were inconsiderate, impatient, and careless, and I would not recommend this office to anyone--especially expecting mothers. The regular office is wonderful. But the oral surgery office in building 3, was a nightmare.

The soonest they could do it was in 4 weeks, so I set the appointment. One of Lisa Shideler's associates gave me a perscription for the infection and one for pain. After a week I ran out of both and called for a refill. They allowed the infection refill but was told no on the pain meds. Remember this was 6 teeth that were infected. I wanted to crawl out of my skin the pain was so intence. after 2 calls for help, neither call was returned. I am eating handfulls of asprin and live with ice packs nearly 24/7. I am always so afraid of not getting numb and feeling pain but Dr Hearn did a great job and made sure I was in no discomfort at all The extraction was very quick and painless. Then when I had the tooth pulled, they told me it would be $168 for a bone graft and didn't show me anything saying that the real cost was over $800. When I called, they said the treatment plan would have explained that, but they never showed me a treatment plan that had that information on it. So, they lie. I will not be going back to Aspen for any reason.
