Ojo

We received a warm welcome from a woman and young guy as soon as we walked into the bakery. The selection was pretty diverse (bolillos, conchas, cookies, pan de queso, pan de muerto, ojo, polvorones, empanadas de camote, etc). The woman and young guy were very attentive and provided good customer service by answering my questions on the breads I was looking for. We bought bolillos, small conchas, a small sprinkle cookie, polvorones, and pan de ojo. Sweet breads were delicious and the bolillos really hit the spot. We will be coming back again.

I love the conchas, cookies and heart shaped cookies. The airiness of the conchas are fabulous.

Pulvorones ( sugar heart-shaped cookies) were the best we've ever had! Other pastries were yummy too - conchas, etc.

I wish we had one of these locally. This Illinois supermarket has it all under one roof -…read moreespecially as a combo of a regular supermarket and what I call a "Mexi-Mart." The produce section is phenomenal, as is their version of a deli section. Here you can also get fresh made tortillas and tamales. There is a lady over by the meat and cheese section who makes tortillas while you wait. The beer and wine section is about quality over quantity. Their prices are very competitive, and you can get everything you need and then some here. The store is also super clean and well laid out. Our shopping experience here was a good one.

Once our turn came up, the gentleman behind the counter greeted us and requested our order, complimenting our choices. We think the menu boards could be cheated out a bit to make them easier to read from the point of sale. I chose the Green Goddess Cobb and the Cream of Chicken with Wild Rice Soup. We were given a buzzer, found our table, and was buzzed for our order in less than five minutes. The salad met my expectations, the fresh avocado providing a creamy texture to the salad, balancing out the vinaigrette. The soup could have used a little more salt (but it's easier to add your own than to take salt out, so I'm okay with that.) As luck would have it, I needed to use the washroom, which I found clean and well-stocked. Overall, this was a positive experience. I would recommend coming early to avoid the rush.

But after I had felt an awful rumble in my stomach. I was shocked and felt horrible at the same time. So for anyone wondering do not get the Mac n cheese for now
