I randomly came across Açaí Republic and decided to give it a try. I was quickly greeted and shown how to order using the touch screen. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. She gave me recommendations and I decided on the Mr. Green. It was a good size and delicious. I will be back to try their açaí bowls. read more

Found this açaí place after a Yelp search when TruBowl was closed for a few days. So glad we did! Location is easy to miss, it's in the plaza behind greenleaf cafe and not visible from street side. As soon as we walked in, the things that stood out were the overall cleanliness of the inside, the quick smiley greeting from the employee, and the easy to read menu. I didn't catch the employees name, but she was awesome helping us out with crafting our bowls, allowing us to sample three bases and explain the differences. She handled the rush well, doing her best to multitask and be courteous to everyone. This is definitely my new go-to açaí place in Uptown! read more

Great quality but even greater customer service - wish I would've gotten the name of the team member on site but if upper management is reading this it was the person who closed on Saturday 8/22. My cousin and I walked in 30 minutes before closing and another customer walked in right before us. Often 30 minutes before closing is clean up time but this team member welcomed us with a smile and prepared the other customer and our order in a timely manner and the Acai bowls and Berry Best smoothie tasted great! My cousin and I sat to enjoy our order while the team member was tidying up for the night but they were attentive in case we needed anything else. Great sit down area to enjoy our order, so the ambiance was nice. Will definitely return. read more

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful because I always have a hard time building a custom bowl. There are just so many toppings to choose from! I ended up getting a mix of the Blue Coconut and Huckleberry bases. For the toppings, I went with a variety of different options based on what the employee recommended as the most popular. I loved everything, and it all tasted super fresh. At $11 for a small, I thought the portion was very reasonable, especially if you load up on toppings. It was so refreshing and so good. I would definitely get it again.

Fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying every time. Zack helped with my order and was incredibly friendly and attentive. I mentioned a peanut allergy and he thoughtfully grabbed all of the ingredients from the back fridge rather than using the ones at the counter to help avoid any possible cross-contamination. That extra care was really appreciated. Another nice touch was the complimentary coffee station near the cashier with oat milk and raw sugar available for guests. This location is inside Rodeo 72. The Blue Bowl space itself is on the small side, but there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating nearby to relax and enjoy your bowl.

I can't even feel bad for the owner after this. Especially since she was there the whole time on…read morethe phone. First the poor girl in the front didn't understand my order and the owner was just there not helping at all. I ordered 2 of the Hulk and Nutella açaí bowl. The girl had to continuously look at the board for the recipe. My drinks weren't even filled up, and my bowl looked a mess. My bowl at first was DRIPPING!!! Like my açaí melted completed. It took this girl 30 mins for my order. Once I received my bowl it was melted. I didn't say anything because I felt bad. Once I got to my car and started eating my bowl I didn't have any fruit in it! So of course I had to take it back! Instead of remaking it she gave it to me like this. The owner literally LOOKED AT HER MAKE IT AND DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING!! Or even offered anything. Like no wonder I keep hearing they're going to close down! They can't keep up with anything and poor management. This will be my last time coming here. I won't recommend this place to anyone! You'll just see the lady on her ass not doing anything but yapping on the phone about none sense. So sad!

I found this hidden gem in Whittier and this will be my go to spot for soft serve!…read moreTheir yogurt texture is very creamy over icy so if you prefer soft, you'll absolutely love their ice cream. You can get two flavors even in a child's size (smallest size) so that was another big plus for me. For anyone with small appetite or just wants to enjoy sweets with less guilt, this will be perfect! Some of my favorite flavors were lavender cream and matcha. Two ladies serving the ice cream were very sweet and polite. The store is overall very clean, and casual environment. I'll definitely come back soon.

I am genuinely please by how delicious The Monroe is!…read more Hubby was in the area and ordered takeout for me. The Monroe sounded like a solid vegan option made with Gardein Chick'n. I like that the veggies are hearty (shredded cabbage and shaved carrots). I appreciate that it's not overly sauced with the perfect amount of vegan ranch, and in wrap form, this is a generous portion. https://yelp.to/2BleKRX0xA Even the accouterments impressed me. In addition to a pickle spear, it came with what seemed like a grilled pickled-pepper with peppery seasoning. So yummy! Kalefornia has officially caught my attention. I'm very inclined to check out the brick and mortar after this takeout experience :)
