I have been trying to get wood pile taken for 4 months .Talked with a lady who said she would call me back the next day 3 weeks ago .No call yet and I guess it pissed her off because not only the wood piles but all 5 trash cans from all the people on my road that have no other place to put their trash cans but here on my property didn't get emptied. She also said I should not let my neighbors use my space in front of my property because I am responsible for all that is put there. Now we have another house being put in on our road . What now ? Should I block all my neighbors and have them put trash cans in the road to protect myself .. Going to call the parish to see what they can do.This is what happens when people are not voicing their opinions to our local government agencies. As of 4/21/26 still no answers. They need to be run by people who are decent enough to at least not go after their customers and call for a look at licensing and knowledge of the drivers and company itself . read more

This is the WORST trash company I have ever dealt with in my life. How they are a company still standing, I'll never know. AWS has skipped our trash can 4 times. The most recent time, the lady in the office said they don't know why they didn't pick up our trash since our balance is PAID (literally on auto draft), so she would send a truck out to come get it. Did they? NOPE. It's 4 days later and can is still full. Called back and now the lady has a different story and now won't get picked up until next trash day. Well, let's hope. It's always a gamble with this company. Guess it's worth mentioning their guys leave trash everywhere when they DO pickup, but at this point I'll take the sloppy mess if they would just pick up the actual trash can. Worst ever - prayerfully, Lafayette Parish will take a deeper look into the hundreds of 1 star reviews this company keeps getting and maybe do something about it. read more

This company has caused me so much stress from day one, when they started service I had to wait 3 weeks before I even got a trash can to put Trash in but yet got billed for those missed pick up had to call 3 times before was able to get that bill adjusted now I'm trying to pay bill online and the site is glitched or something so I call trying to pay bill and find out I'm being charge some crazy outrages price for trash pick up, while trying to talk to a girl named Desiree she so rudely is not listening to a thing I say while continuing to talk over me then says no no no as if I'm going to listen to her or else, I tell her to get her supervisor, she says hold on and then hangs up on me, I call back get no answer I call back get answering service I call back she answers and puts me on hold finally a phone rings but of course no answer! The customer service sucks! I dislike this company so much I wish Lafayette would go back to republic, dealing with AWS is a pain in the a$$!! read more

This was by far the worst job experience I've ever had. I worked here every single day from 7:30am…read moreto 5pm making only $8/hour, and even then my paychecks were regularly three days late. If I arrived early, I wasn't allowed to clock in until 8, and if I stayed past 5, I had to clock out at 5 anyway--so the extra time I worked meant nothing. When I finally called off one day because of a family emergency, my boss screamed at me, cursed at me, and even threatened me instead of showing any basic respect. He told me to "stay put" while he came to snatch the work keys and throw my check at me. That's how this business treats its employees--no compassion, no professionalism, and no respect. If you value fair treatment and timely pay, stay far away from this place.
