He was very clear with me about everything from up front costs and long-term savings to how his company gets paid in all this. Though I struggled to find a house, I was prepared with my pre-approval in hand and when I did finally find "the one," the loan side of the purchase was really the easy part (scary, but easy). I checked with my own bank to see if they were able to beat the deal Brian found for me and they could not - even my bank's agent said it was a great deal.
