This was years ago. Second complaint another student left me while she went to the Finance office and Miss Karen was livid about it. Third complaint was a few weeks ago. I had asked for low and high lights and ended up with grayish tones throughout my hair so upon calling that Monday to ask if they could fix it, Miss Marie told me it's a school and I said what does that have to do with anything so I went in on Thursday and they put a blonde toner in and of course it was better than nothing compared to the way I left so beware if you even speak up about the service because you're not pleased, you will be asked to never come back, this is very unprofessional and if it's a school, then the students would have to learn just as if they worked in a real Salon, etc.. I had never left a review before because I didn't think it was necessary. I thought the School was handling it, but then I was told they were taking notes about me very childish and unprofessional upon trying to call the owner Mr. G who owns a very successful business in Rocky Hill he never returned my phone calls just had his reception take information and never got back to me! I also left an email for Martin G and he never responded. I'm not the first do your due diligence and gore reviews all over other platforms. Miss Marie has zero class and had Miss Pam tell me upon me leaving that I cannot come back there!

Lead by example & inform yourself about disclosures submitted upon scheduling before accusing customers for shortcomings. Not the back to school mommy and me anticipated.

I was in CT for a bit so decided to make an appointment while I was around. I got a full head of highlights. My hairdresser was quiet but nice. I found it odd I wasn't asked how light I wanted to go, especially when the instructor came over and asked her if I wanted dimensions or not. I was waiting to see what her answer was cause she didn't ask me! I answered myself. Anyways, the coloring came out very well. I like it, I get lots of compliments. I have never encountered anyone before who is so aggressive with hair. I have thick hair, it tangles but nothing crazy. My hair wasn't brushed before the bleach. The teasing of my hair was a bit rough but when it came time to washing the bleach out of my hair and brushing it I have never been on so much pain. I had unintentional tears coming out of my eyes, and was gripping my chair. My hair was being ripped from my head. The blow drying with the brush was also very painful, almost walked out with my wet hair. Never have I ever experienced anyone this aggressive with my hair. My scalp was sore for 2 days after. Will be cautious to return.

Now we learn, they're trying to kick out a student who kicks the bus to and from school and is five minutes late. My daughter really wanted to become a hairstylist. Now she does not! I was withdraw by the one of owners of the East Hartford school because I came to talk to her and the supervisor about not being treated fairly and feeling some prejudice going on in the school and prejudice towards me because of my disability. When I came to that school, I told them I was disabled there was no problem. My disabilities weren't affecting me at the time as time progressed I wasn't able to braid or lift things I was told by the teacher that I was going to braid that everybody was going to braid after lunch I didn't have a choice. I left that day and went to my doctor. I was also told I was going to take out the trash I can't because of my arm I asked her if I could do something else , she said no so I went and said something they asked me for a meeting I reported everything I felt was going on even that I wasn't being taught that we would be standing there waiting for things to do. they said well as long as your not standnig for 6 hours they dismissEd everything I said including how other students were treated better and her doing her hair in class instead of teaching so they withdrew me I kept asking why they said I was making people uncomfortable and they weren't going to have me make accusations at their teacher they asked if I was the attorney for the Caucasian students so obviously they know something is wrong they told me to get the fuck out of her school she can't throw anyone out for any reason said what's amatter you can't get in any where which tells me she's telling places I actually called a school that said how do I know that name. she called the cops and humiliated me . when she said I could come I believe this was done on purpose this school violated my civil rights. how many others has this happened to. this took place on East Hartford campus. I have been threatened to take everything down . Other reviews were taken down also. Human rights and American with disabilities has been contacted. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE EAST HARTFORD CAMPUS! I honestly can't express enough how much of waste and time this school is. Most importantly Christine who runs the school is a very greedy person, her attitude is nasty, she doesn't care if your getting what you pay for she only cares about the money. The teachers they hire DO NOT CARE . THE TEACHERS don't care about teaching the proper curriculum, they would rather play YouTube videos instead of showing you hands on learning. Worst part is Christine knows. They catch attitudes when students ask for help. They have broken equipment, and broken mirrors which was a serious hazard zone. Christine doesn't listen to her students ,but we still pay her to give us our license, she extends graduations dates without informing students which is unprofessional, bad business, a WASTE of your time and money don't do it. read more

Hi, I'm Erica, and I studied Cosmetology at Academy Di Capelli, in Wallingford. I had an amazing experience here, and they had so much to offer. From the interactive classroom setting, to the special events and hair shows, I enjoyed my time at Academy Di Capelli. They are very active in the community, and it shows in the atmosphere of their classrooms. One of my favorite parts was the teachers, each teacher brought something different to the table. Growing up, I knew I wanted to do something with my hands. Academy Di Capelli enabled me to find my passion, and has helped me reach where I am today. After graduation, I became a stylist right away, without spending time as an assistant. I would definitely recommend their programs to those looking for an interactive learning atmosphere, which is more than just a school, it's a community. read more

Academy Di Capelli accidentally messed up my hair very badly. It was the opposite of what I asked for, I left with a whole head of yellow bleached hair. My hair was dry after and was extremely expensive to get professionally fixed. It was unfortunate because I had high hopes. The students were so kind and made the experience comfortable, I was just disappointed in the results. read more

Which would have been funny had I actually know this man, not the first time we were there. After all was said and done, the cut was meh, adequate for picture day (bc no one is gonna see the back) I asked him to round out his neck line (bc we don't do square necklines) and he didn't really respect my ask. He "fixed" it but only with an extra comment about how he "doesn't usually do that" ok cool, I'm paying for the haircut so it shouldn't be an issue. I also would have like a shirt fade instead of just one length, but had I been able to tell him, this review could have gone an entirety different direction. Needless to say, we won't be back, and I certainly won't be recommending. The guys is nice, but a little too cocky for the mediocre haircut he gave.
