The task of replacing our roof was (we thought) a daunting one. While we knew it was time, we were…read moreuncertain of what we were dealing with, in terms of damage or issues, from the start. Once we placed the call for a quote, Owner Kyle Redding and Restoration Consultant Service Specialist Asheton Welch were immediately scheduled. At the appointment, a thorough inspection of our roof was conducted, and an explanation with photos was provided, along with many replacement options to guide us in the direction we could go. What we didn't realize was that there was damage due to a recent storm, so Kyle and Asheton took the extra time explaining how everything could go should we decide to file a claim via our homeowners insurance, as well as variations in the two roofing brands offered and the benefits of each. At the onset, we had initially wanted to get a few companies to come out to provide quotes... but our questions on cost and concerns were put to rest within the first 30 minutes of talking with Kyle and Asheton. We knew there wasn't another company that would take care of our home, better than if we did it ourselves. After the best replacement choice for our home's needs was made, their team was scheduled and the entire job (along with gutters installed) was completed within two days. Asheton came out when both the roof and gutters were being done, and stayed the entire time. She was beyond kind, answered our questions, and walked us through each step being performed, making certain we were comfortable all along the way. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The entire Allegiance team is attentive to the homeowners' needs and desires, highly knowledgeable in their field, as well as diligent in communication with not only their customers, but also in dealing with insurance companies. The entire process was effortless, leaving us immensely happy with our new roof. We highly recommend Allegiance Roofing & Exteriors as the most reliable and affordable roofing company for your roof replacement needs.

My salesperson, Lynn Hornsby, was absolutely wonderful to work with -- professional, knowledgeable, and so easy to talk to. She walked me through every step of the process, answered all my questions, and made sure everything went smoothly. The crew did an amazing job on my roof. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up everything before they left. The quality of the work really shows, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. If you're looking for a roofing company you can trust, I definitely recommend Allegiance Roof & Exteriors -- and ask for Lynn!

Randy Jeffcoat Builders

We chose Randy Jeffcoat Builders in 2020 to build our new home based primarily on their sales pitch…read moreand the references that they gave us to call. We also used PDG (Tom Parker Design Group) Architects for our home design on a referral by Randy and Rhett Jeffcoat. This was the second mistake in our new home building decision. This was the 1st new home we ever built. When we met with the architect I showed him inspiration ideas and he gave me a design and said he had 60 hours into it already. I asked if we were tied to it and they all said no but they never came off the 1st design. We had hoped that the Jeffcoat's would be more of an advocate for us but they were all about the architect and moving along rapidly. We ended up feeling pressured and agreed to a design that wasn't really what we had initially hoped for and certainly isn't what we wanted in the outcome. The Jeffcoat's had indicated that their son Trey would be on our building site as the Project manager at least once a week which was important to us. That never materialized. He was onsite maybe 3-4 times over the year to build the home. They had indicated in their sales pitch that they only used sub-contractors that were with them for years. That wasn't the truth and we had many new teams. Their designer that was designated to work with us to choose finishes was overworked and would just phone me and ask if I had chosen items with no warning and at drop-dead due dates without offering her help. Mrs Jeffcoat would then lambast me for complaining telling me that her staff were not interior designers because I would complain about having no coaching or help in the process at all. But this was not what was pitched in the sale process at all. We ended up hiring an interior decorator at our own expense to help us throughout the whole process so we could make wise choices and be prepared for what came next and not ambushed with a quick decision on the "house of our dreams"! This was an extra expense and another thing to try to manage and juggle. I believe it also caused animosity from the Jeffcoat's and their project managers. Our interior designer had the foresight to see that the architect had drawn a terrible second floor. I had told the architect that it looked bad on paper and once it was framed in it looked positively institutional. One long hallway with little rooms coming off of it that wouldn't have been serviceable for much of anything. Thankfully the interior designer had so much experience that she had the Jeffcoat's take down the framing and redesign the second story to a lovely open floorpan that is usable and attractive. But again - I am left asking why Rhett Jeffcoat - the interior liaison didn't push to advocate on our behalf with the architect when I questioned it initially on the blueprints and ask the architect to offer alternatives? Did he not understand that it wasn't a good drawing or was he just willing to sacrifice good design to go forward as fast as he could? Or was he just closer with the architect than he was vested in the wellbeing of his clients and his responsibility to us and our concerns? We'll never know. That change of framing became a "change order" that cost us money of course. We ended up with 13 "change orders" ultimately I believe. We obviously came in well over our initial cost and didn't have the house we wanted. We had to make so many changes in the design on the fly that many of the rooms became convoluted and the layout suffered. Had the Jeffcoat's made the architect go back and design the house we wanted vs saying to us "But he has 60 hours into this drawing already" when we hadn't even confirmed that we were going with the PDG architect firm - then I think there would have been a better outcome for both sides of this transaction. We needed the Jeffcoat's professionalism and dedication to us for help throughout this process. In the end, Randy Jeffcoat Builders never came back to complete the punch list of items that they do after you live in your home for a bit and discover items that need touching up or that they weren't able to complete initially. We called and texted repeatedly. We ultimately hired carpenters and outside people to finish the house and paid them privately which was not in the contract. Contractually - Randy Jeffcoat Builders was obligated t finish the punch list and failed to do so. We have another big item to address regarding some of our windows and recently reached out to Randy Jeffcoat personally and we asked him to respond. He has not responded to us at all. Thus - we have to presume that we are on our own and must hire a new builder to address/fix the windows for us. We couldn't be more disappointed in the performance and outcome of Randy Jeffcoat Builders at this point. Our home cost over $1.5M. We did not take this endeavor lightly. At the cost of this investment, we want others to know of our experience at this point.
