I love this place because they have truly healed me. It's not a fancy place by any means but the practitioners here know what they are doing. I have had them all at this point and they're all great in their own way. I was in insane pain- burning shooting pain down my left leg. I can take a little pain but this pain would have me in tears. After my FIRST session it was 70% better and after the 3rd session my pain is GONE completely! I have been very pleased with the level of attention and care from this office for acupuncture services. I have received acupuncture, cupping, and also lymphatic drainage (with a sort of bodysuit and machine) here and have had positive results. I have been up charged for many things at other offices but have never felt pressured or up charged here. I did choose to buy the ginseng tea they recommended and which they sell up front. It cost me $1 for about 20 cups worth of tea. That beats any deal around! I recommend this office for compassionate and effective acupuncture care. read more

First time visit. My boyfriend got me the Groupon for Christmas last year and I decided to try it out. I've always been curious about acupuncture and cupping and how it would help my body feel after the treatment. Needless to say I was pretty nervous for my first time. The staff are very friendly and helpful with their suggestions. Simon was the guy who helped me out and suggested that we do gwa sha (?) probobly spelled wrong. Where you scratch the surface of the skin to help with tightness in the muscles. It was pretty painful in the areas where I had the most tension, but felt so much better afterwards. Cupping was a lot of pressure at first. They always ask if the pressure is okay, don't be afraid to speak up if something is uncomfortable! After the cupping was the acupuncture, with a heating lamp. I basically fell asleep for that part of the treatment. Will definitely go again! read more

Dr. Liu is very kind, genuinely caring, and willing to take time to understand all aspects of your health. I have never had a doctor who was so sweet, friendly, and not rushed. Besides acupuncture (which is not nearly as painful as I expected), her other personalized recommendations from herbs to forms of exercise totally work. I went from a skeptic to a total believer in Chinese / natural medicine, or at least whatever Dr. Liu prescribes. I have to admit that some of it still sounds (and tastes!) weird but whatever, the results have worked for me. My sleep cycle data shows that the most positive correlation with better quality sleep is when I get acupuncture! One time I went in with neck/shoulders that were so painfully tight that I had trouble sleeping the night before. 15 minutes of needles and I actually felt the tightness fading! And then she gave me an amazing bonus mini-massage with cinnamon oil... And it melted away the last bit of pain into relaxed, soft, yummy smelling goodness. :) If you are lucky enough to get even a few seconds of her massages (when she's demonstrating what you can do on yourself), enjoy it! It's better than even the best full massages I've gotten from specialized therapists. With insurance the co-pay is very affordable too. It's much more enjoyable and easier on the wallet to come even every week for acupuncture than a trip to the Western doctor who will see you for a couple minutes and then just prescribe drugs that treat the symptoms but not the root causes. With the calming music, dimmed lights, and feet-warming lamp, when you get left alone for the needles to do their work, it's a very relaxing experience and a great opportunity for a nice nap. ;) read more

I made an appointment for my friend for Saturday at noon. My friend has been and is in excruciating pain from sciatica. He got to the noon appointment only to find the front door wide open and nobody apparently there. He filled out the new patient paperwork, somebody came and took it and then my friend never saw anybody else. He was apparently there by himself for the next half hour, at which point he got up and left. I then tried to call and at least leave a message about what happened but the voice mail was full so I could not even leave a message. I had been referred to this practice by somebody I trusted but i was extremely disappointed at what happened, the lack of professionalism, the lack of care, and the fact that they apparently blew my friend off. i would not recommend this place ever to anyone read more

At first, I was hesitant about getting acupuncture because there were needles involved but a friend said it would definitely help my carpel tunnel. Dr. Ruihai (pronounce Ruth) made my first time go really smooth. I told her I was scared it would hurt and I might freak out halfway through the session but she gladly talked me through it and quickly put me at ease. She started the needle part of the session and left me alone in the room for about 20-25 minutes or so. She dimmed the lights and played calming music for me. It was painless and I felt results later that day. The set up in that office is like a small medical private practice. I did not have shooting pain in my arm and have difficulty driving or using the computer like I did before. She's really nice and is understanding of everything you say. Be honest about your eating and exercise habits so you get treated the right way. Also, take her advice on the foods you should be eating and not eating; I actually feel much better eating cleaner! She is extremely knowledgable and knew so much about my body by just touching the pressure points on my body. I am coming back on a regular basis every few weeks. A western doctor told me to have cortisone injections and or a surgery for my severe pain and limited mobility on my thumb. I did not like my options so I decided to try acupuncture.
