The dentist was concerned about possible severe nerve damage if he performed the extraction. I can only imagine, but perhaps that dentist did not graduate with a respectable GPA. However, I am SO glad that dentist felt uncomfortable, because now I feel very comfortable. I need two more visits (different issues) for a dental surgeon and I chose Dr. Fox for both of them. If there is ever a need for any service Dr. Fox provides, I'm going to him. His staff are sweet-natured and I'll always recommend them, always.

The staff makes appointment scheduling easy and they are up front about all costs (and reasonable). I don't like going to the oral surgeon but at one point or another we will probably end up there. She said it was because my oxygen saturation was a bit low and opted to keep me awake without explaining why. Further, the pain medication she prescribed (Tramadol) was utterly useless even at twice the dosage prescribed. When I asked about this during the follow-up, she became very aggressive and rude, and refused to examine her work, even though I was still in pain. two weeks after the procedure. This was a very poor experience and completely different from my first visit to AOFS for an implant. I have never encountered a more combative and unprofessional "doctor" and I will never give AOFS my business again.

This was especially distressing when she cracked a wisdom tooth to extract it. Worse, IT HURT! The drug she did use left me unable to respond. This is one of my worst nightmares, and an echo of the careless military dentists of the 60s and early 70s. When I asked about this during the follow-up, she became very aggressive, hostile and rude. She refused to examine her work, even though I was still in pain two weeks after the procedure. This was a very poor experience and completely different from my first visit to AOFS for an implant. I called again and I was told to be patient. Meanwhile my wife was in ridiculous pain. Finally at 2 pm I called AGAIN to find out that they closed at 2. I left a message on the after hours recording and guess what...no return call after I was told all calls are returned. Here's my review.  initially had a good experience with Aspen Dental, however that changed once I…read morepaid my bill. I spent over $8,000 at Aspen Dental in Dawsonville, GA for dentures with what they called a seven-year "warranty." In reality, that warranty is so restricted it's almost worthless. They advertise "Emergency, we've got you covered," but that claim is completely misleading. My dentures--still under warranty--snapped clean in half on a Sunday morning. When I called, there was no help, no guidance, just a generic recording basically telling me to call 911 for emergencies. That's not emergency dental care--that's passing the buck. I had an important public engagement the next day and was left completely on my own. No options, no support, nothing. After spending thousands of dollars, I ended up trying to piece my dentures back together myself just to be presentable. That's unacceptable. It gets worse. When I contacted another Aspen Dental office in Cornelia, GA, I was told my warranty only applies to the original Dawsonville location. So despite being a large national chain, they don't stand behind their work across locations. If you move or aren't near that one office, your "warranty" is effectively useless. From the beginning, these dentures have been a problem. After months of discomfort and adjustments, I was finally told my bone structure was too thin for proper implant placement--something they somehow didn't mention until after the procedures, the payments, and months of issues. That should have been addressed before any work was done. Between the misleading advertising, lack of emergency support, restrictive warranty, and ongoing problems with the dentures themselves, this has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I've ever had with a healthcare provider. If you're considering Aspen Dental, be very careful. What they promise and what they actually deliver are not the same.
