It's hard to know where to even begin a review for Alex. I wish there was an appropriately quick…read moreelevator speech that could sum up our gratitude for his photographic genius, calm demeanor and overall awesomeness throughout our wedding process. There was never a moment we doubted choosing Alex. We would choose him again and again and will reach out to him in the future for anniversary photography. Alex has a beautiful ability to capture all the emotions tucked beneath the surface. This is what we wanted above all else. Photography that went beyond the static and the smiles and the posing and the family portraits. Alex does just that. I know when we look back on our wedding images years from now we will be struck with the tidal wave of emotions we were feeling. The tidal wave of emotions that Alex so perfectly captured.

Alex far surpassed any expectations we had of him as our wedding photographer. We were initially…read moreattracted to his unconventional style, use of lighting and the emotion involved in his work. The vision behind his work was made evident to us when we first met him. His willingness to go the extra mile was displayed in our proposal shoot where he hid and captured the moment when my husband proposed to me. Throughout the course of our engagement, Alex was consistently willing to try new things and take risks when photographing us. During our engagement shoot, Alex walked through three feet of snow with us just to get the perfect shot! In between shoots, Alex wanted to catch up with us over dinner and always asked how we were doing or how he could help us out during the engagement process. He truly cared about us as a couple and wanted to invest in our relationship. From beginning to end, Alex communicated clearly with timelines and delivered earlier than promised. He did not cut any corners and made sure that we got exactly what we wanted and much more. The day of our wedding, Alex was such a calming presence, which was much appreciated amongst the overwhelming nature of that day. He collaborated beautifully with our videographer and day of team to capture every detail of our special day. Alex was light-hearted, optimistic and ready to crack a joke right when we needed it. My husband and I would HIGHLY recommend booking Alex for your proposal, engagement, and wedding. He's fairly priced, over delivers, and his work speaks for itself. We booked him as a photographer, but ended up making a great friend. So grateful for the memories that Alex captured!!

Once again our holiday pictures are wonderful! Thank you so much Amanda for catching just the…read moreright moment year after year. I told 3 ladies in my office about you and your creative pictures and they all seemed very interested. More business coming your way!! Happy Holidays

Please note that none of her friends who she had post below after my initial review contradict any…read moreof the key points: 1. she does not let you buy the digital images 2. she posts the images for just a few weeks on a website 3. this website allows you to view the images only with a big logo across everyone's face so you're in for some unpleasant surprises once you receive your order 4. moreover this website does not seem geared to good quality photo production but seems mostly for selling photo mugs, etc. 5. If she goes out of business, which seems likely, remember you will no longer have access to the images and you'd not be able to get replacements of the images of your family she has taken Amanda is really difficult to work with, she won't let you buy the digital images and makes you buy prints from a really cheesy website where she posts the images for a few weeks. I regret hiring her and I should have thought through the implications of not being able to acquire the digital images. Therefore, if you want to do something as off the charts eccentric as use one of the pictures she takes for a Christmas card, you cannot (she has you sign a release saying you can't copy her images either). The website that she requires you to use to buy prints is geared mostly to selling garbage like tote bags with a picture of a puppy and the website does not have the option to buy Christmas cards, in contrast to what she says below. She needs to state up front that she won't let you buy the digital images because selling digital images is an accepted norm in the field and so one assumes that it will be an option. Her main endeavor is producing are these god-awful pictures that can be best imagined if you consider what would happen if an untalented relative of Salvador Dali worked at the JC Penney portrait studio, but her more straight-on portraits of my son were good and I feel really sad that her kooky business practices means that I can't have access to them.
