This is a review of my last 90 minute therapeutic massage at Lifestyles Massage & Bodyworks at…read moreBrookside, MO with Cameron, on July 25, 2026. As per usual the office was clean, warm and inviting in atmosphere. This was my second therapeutic massage with Cameron, who is new, coming to our community from the Denver, Colorado area, where she is from and had become certified. I knew my first experience with her had been outstanding. She greeted my warmly, and I had prepped well for the massage. She did the customary assessment interview of areas for possible focus, with me giving her a few, but also I've learned that just as a doctor's 'symtoms + blood-test' will indicate an appropriate medical approach, the information that her fingertips on my body would generate would give much guidance on how to apply the beautiful arsenal of therapy that the assembled techniques of massage therapy employ. What does she need from me? Only a little 'common sense' cooperation, while I can take it all in with a relaxed, sweet surrender of my stresses and tensions melting away. The soft, relaxing music she chose was especially happening to be to my tastes. Even if I attempted, I don't think I could have counted all the different approaches she used, one flowing into the next. While even a 90 minute therapeutic massage can't 'last forever', one does carry its benefits forward from the experience, in the hours, days and weeks going forward. I really, honestly believe that many more people than realize it could benefit greatly from this, truly, entirely real therapy from Cameron at Lifestyles Massage & Bodyworks.

Within the first 2 minutes Robert was able to pinpoint my problem spots and work on them in a way where I was able to relax AND get legitimate results beyond my 60 minute session. It was obvious that he has gone through extensive training, and his level of expertise made this massage one of the best I have honestly had in my entire life. He did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable, listening to my goals, and really just letting me sink into the massage table to unwind. No matter if you're looking for a sports massage to get out tough knots or a lighter massage for relaxation, ask for Robert. He is on another level. 10 out of 10

I met the massage therapist who was also very kind and friendly. They had me lay on my side for the massage. However, they only spent about 10-15 minutes on each side and didn't address my concerns in my lower back or shoulders much. There was very little pressure and just light rubbing. Then the massage therapist got to my feet. I was taken aback because he spent at least 45 minutes to an hour massaging my feet. I'm not exaggerating. at times I would look down and he wasn't even really massaging, just holding my feet. I can't believe I spent as much money as I did to get an hour foot "massage". The staff is friendly but pushes the membership. After that, I was not interested in signing up. Please look elsewhere for a prenatal massage. Edited to add- I've tried calling a few times like they asked in their response and haven't gotten a call back. Even after leaving a message. They don't seem to really care.

However, I'm new to Kansas City and was in desperate need of a massage. The front desk staff was friendly and calm in the sales approach, definitely not overly excited and chatty like I'm used to. The massage therapist, Jesse, was absolutely amazing. I would probably go as far to say it's the best massage I've ever had. I was his last appointment of the day and expected him to be fatigued and unable to use the amount of pressure I was requesting for a deep tissue, especially the entire time. I think he actually was using more pressure towards the end and it was exactly what I needed. I can't say enough good things about him. I absolutely recommend scheduling an appointment with Jesse at Massage Envy.
