AVOID: I purchased a used home in summer of 2024. Over the winter we started having issues with…read moreour furnace - mostly just cutting off. I called out an HVAC company to investigate. They discovered that the incorrect diameter of exhaust pipe was installed. 2" pipe was installed and the manufacturer clearly required 3" pipe based on the length of the exhaust run - per the install manual. This manifested with my furnance not being able to push out the exhaust and it would cut off to prevent furnace damage. The HVAC technician recommended I contact the original installer which was A&Z. I called A&Z and spoke to Zahn and he said he would call the HVAC tech I had over and get back to me. Zahn never got back to me. I followed up with phone calls and left messages with A&Z's secretary/scheduluer? on three different occassions over the next couple of weeks. No calls were ever returned. I posted this review on Google and within 24 hours A&Z posted a response stating that they called me back but could not get a hold of me. Further they stated that Zahn talked to the technician that identified the problem with my exhaust and that they both agreed the exhaust diameter was not the problem. I do not believe they actually called back and instead are trying to save face due to my review. If only A&Z could have showed the same commitment to communicating with me that they did to countering my Google review this 1 star review could have been a 5 star review. Additionally, I spoke with the original technician who discovered the problem. He stated that he spoke with Zahn about the problem but did not agree with what A&Z has posted about the exhaust not being the problem. From his vantage point the exhaust was the most likely culprit. I had this other technician swap out the 2" for 3" pipe. Upon install he noticed that the exterior stucco was cut for 3" pipe but only 2" was installed. That tells me that A&Z meant to install 3" as required per the install manual but perhaps mistakenly ordered 2" pipe and got to the job site and just rolled with it? Either way, I wouldn't trust them. I would avoid this company because in my case they completed a furnace install against the manufacturer's recommendations (incompetence). Whether that was done recently or years ago, the install is not in line with manufacturer's standards. A good company would at least investigate - this one just blew me off. Additionally, their communication skills and willingness to stand behind their work leaves a lot to be desired. AVOID A&Z!!!

I had tried to get it back on for 3 days and trying to avoid a 300 bill, I lasted until the 3rd day when the weather dropped and I was going to freeze. He was able to come early afternoon and spent some time figuring out the thermostat upstairs and the furnace downstairs. Making numerous trips. He was very efficient in fixing the furnace and actually ended up charged me quite a bit less than I was quoted by other companies that would have been several days to come out.

They are not supposed to give referrals but he'd heard Furnace World was very good. I called the next business day and within 3 days, we had our new, efficient Trane furnace installed. From the first phone call, I was very impressed with Furnace World! Lisa, the owner, took my call and was friendly, professional, and displayed a high sense of customer inclusion. We are getting used to the new furnace and the programmable thermostat. We had grown accustomed to our 30 year old furnace being noisy and incompletely heating the house. Our new furnace is very quiet and heats the house more efficiently than I ever expected was possible. Each room is evenly heated. There are no cold and hot spots anymore! The thermostat allows us to program time blocks and temperature settings - no more checking the thermostat before bed - no more having to turn up the heat when we get up and trying to remember to lower the heat if we go out! Thank you, Furnace World! We are more than 100% impressed all around.

For the last 3 years we have had issues with our AC freezing when we turn it on-regardless of HVAC saying it's fine upon our yearly inspection. Over the last 3 years we have spent over 2k on top of our maintenance plans trying to get this fixed. They have sent out tech telling us "everything is fine" Or "it's fixed" only for it to freeze the first time it comes on in the summer. The last visit was the final straw-- $700 bill for 2 techs to come out, at $145 an hour, to fix a problem that should have been fixed 3 years ago. We paid the bill, but I would never recommend their services or their service plans. It's a joke. They just keep sending techs that never fix the problem and keep charging more.
