Our son loves coming to school every day and we've seen him flourish through the patient and knowledgable care given by his wonderful teachers. Lessons and daily activities are well-planned and developmentally appropriate. Our family feels comfort knowing that Willow House is licensed by the OEC and that Executive Director Susan runs the center like a wheel oiled machine with thoughtful policies and procedures to keep the children safe and sound. The preschool teacher Jess is amazing and the main reason why we picked this program. The lessons and themes are constantly changing and the children are learning new things everyday. I am amazed to see the progress my daughter has made thus far. When I ask my three year old what she loves about Willow House she tells me the activity centers which are constantly changing based on the theme of the week. The director and the teachers truly love their job. Prior to Covid, I was able to come into the center and nurse my baby. I saw firsthand how well the infant teachers handled their kids. They were all held and attended to as if they were their own. We now have two kids in this center. Their Covid precautions are strict, but we feel safe and clean here. My toddler son is learning so much at the discovery preschool level, much more than I would have been able to expose him to. It truly is like a play based school before school. Only cons are high teacher turnover, but this is common in other daycares from what I hear.

At 1st I didn't say anything as I am overprotective of my child, but his other parent went to stop by mid day with some lunch and over heard the teacher using that same tone. Immediately we had a group meeting and the teacher apologized and stated that she was a bit stressed due to a behavioral health child acting out in class, and she took it out on my toddler and the other children, I am still wondering what that had to do with my child?!?? Or why this teacher wasn't given some assistance. I also asked how many times does this happen, as the director continued to use the behavioral child as an excuse to the behavior of the staff. My child was removed immediately. Nothing is worth my child's well being. These teachers and directors need to meet these children where they are. If they are in need or talking you should bend down to their eye level to console them or understand them so you can assist them with care. My son said he was scared to go into the school on his 2nd day. I assumed he was hesitant with a new place and would adjust. I was wrong!!!!! I feel like I also failed my choke because if I had listens to him after day 1, I should have save him the exposure of mental, emotional and verbal abuse!!! i beg any parent that loves their child not to drop them off at Scott swamp RX in Farmington ct.

There are also after kindergarten programs if you'd like your kindergartener to have a full day of school. Prices are very reasonable considering the level and quality of the programs here. The teachers are great, and the teacher to student ratio is excellent (3 kids to 1 teacher in the 3 year old program). The entire facility is very aware of childhood allergies, and if your child has a sensitivity of any kind, it is addressed. This is great to keep in mind. Fortunately, my kids aren't allergic to anything, but I understand what a challenge this for other families.
