The store is very pretty, and the packaging is really pretty too with ribbons. The little violets are so pretty! King Alfonso XIII got some pretty candies here for the queen, so it's traditional. They're open throughout the day, so you don't have to worry about the place being closed for siesta. They are closed on Sunday.

We fell in love with those so we stopped by this place to check it out and brought back some goodies. The stuff we bought (seen in the picture) looked really good but but it turned out to be just too sweet for us. I wish they'd provide samples as I can't imagine spending what we spent. The only thing that my kid liked was his lollipop that we got from this place and that too was pricey. And oh we did like the bag as well, haha.

When you're in Europe when you get those fizzy Cola bottles for example, now that's what I'm talking about. Very good stuff. Elsewhere in the world not quite so much. But still they make some pretty damn good things and are a high-quality company.

We happened upon it and I was so pleasantly surprised. I think we went three times during our time in Madrid. I loved the counter experience, I'd definitely recommend that option. I wasn't looking to sit down and do all of that upstairs so my review is solely based on counters on the first floor. The locals love this spot and that is quite obvious. I was told in advance that they do and coming here was very enjoyable. The pastries and coffee are very yummy, you won't be disappointed. Makes for the perfect spot if you really want to get your day started but want to grab a quick bite before doing so.
