Extremely satisfied!! Purchased as part of a groupon special with two other people, selected date for class and paid in advance. After having to reschedule a couple of times due to conflicting schedules, I attended the concealed carry class. The class was well structured and super informative. Ed and his team of instructors do a fantastic job covering the material and making sure every student receives the instruction they need to be successful and safe. The staff is well equipped to assist everyone from first time shooters to military and law enforcement professionals. My wife and I recently attended a CCW class offered by ABQFAST. We were blown away by the fun, relaxed and informative atmosphere Ed and officer Ricketts provided. It was the best 18 hours and we hated that it had to end. If you are interested in taking a CCW class, do yourself a favor and enroll with ABQFAST. I've taken the CCW class a couple times is a coulpe states. This class was by far the best. They are long classes but they made it fun. Most importantly they made sure you understood the information. Very patient. They're also cool fun guys. Always a pleasure to see them around. read more

the firing line. Ed advises us that he is going to run four volleys of ten shooters. At this point everybody just wants to get out of the cold, so about twenty people run for the tables where all the guns are and go to work. It is a free for all of grabbing guns, loading guns, and finding a place to shoot. It was ridiculous, and had disaster spelled all over it. Ed sees a few shooters online and says "fire twenty five rounds center mass no time limit". People start randomly popping off rounds. After the first volley is completed the Los Lunas instructor advises those of us that want to qualify with a revolver to grab a weapon and load up. After firing both weapons, the instructors tell us all to put the guns back on the table so they can score our sheets. Two guns, fifty rounds total, each round should be worth two points. I am pretty proficient with a pistol, but not so well with a revolver. I yanked four of my rounds completely off target but somehow still managed to get a 100% according to the instructors. This shit show went on for about three hours. After everyone "qualified" we were told to go back to the classroom to finish up. Back in class Ed throws on a couple more YouTube videos that we were unable to hear because "Paul Blart" was out of breath walking from the parking lot and is unable to breathe out of his nose. Ed comes back to class and decides to put on a couple "tactical demonstrations" for the class. Ed and "Paul Blart" attempt to show us how to take a gun out of battery while it is in an attacker's hand. Ed then advises the class that they can sign up for his advanced class and learn all of these techniques for $99. Ed then opens up the classroom to discussion at which time "Paul Blart" decides to take a jab at me and tell me how "suspect" I look from a "law enforcement" perspective. I took that to mean that if he spotted me in the mall while cruising the food court on his Segway he would probably assume I was up to know good. This comment I could probably laugh about if it had come from an actual Police Officer but not from this guy. I let it go and just assumed this guy was probably going to go home, put on his fake cop uniform that he ordered from Galls, and masturbate to "Swat". I figured I couldn't make life any worse on this guy so I left it alone. Its 1930hrs and finally Ed tells us we can leave. I went through this class on December 17, 2016. Being that I was just renewing my license I didn't anticipate that it would take very long so I wait. Fast forward to January 16, 2017, I still have not received my license and my current license is expired. I take a cruise over to the DPS office to inquire about my license. I encounter the DPS investigator that is handling my case. He tell me that my license has been ready to issue for over two weeks but he has not received the necessary paperwork from Ed to complete the process. So according to DPS, Ed has been sitting on this paperwork for over a month. By this time I am furious. I call Ed, and of course he doesn't answer, but texts me. I advise him of the situation and he tells me that DPS is known for loosing paperwork as he had already submitted mine but he will resubmit it by the close of the business day. The next day I go back to DPS and advise them of what Ed told me, and I am shown a stack of applications dating back to November that are ready to issue but waiting on Ed's paperwork. I was advised that they had not seen Ed since November. Now I am really pissed off. I have my wife text Ed to inquire about her license. Knowing how careless Ed is I was sure he wouldn't put two and two together, and I was right. He gives my wife a completely different story. He states that her paperwork (which was with my paperwork) got mixed up and didn't get turned in but he would turn it in by the end of the day. I call DPS the next day, and still no Ed. I try to call him, and no answer. I text him, and no reply. Finally I call the Supervisor of the DPS office and she handles the matter herself. Two days later Ed turned in my paperwork, and I picked up my license. If you read this entire review then you have to know that I cannot make this up. I posted a review of my experience back in January but Ed has a habit of deleting all negative reviews to keep his star rating high. BEWARE!! This is a copy of my text to him because he won't answer his phone or call me back. Hi Ed, called you at 2:20 pm 6-23-17 and sending a text as requested. Christmas Eve I bought and payed for 3 people, myself, my husband, and my son, a special of $39.95 per person for Christmas. When I talked to Adolfo he said we could have a weekday class and that it would be ok to schedule our class in June because our son has been deployed and it was a gift for when he comes home. He said no problem there is no exp date. (I have a screenshot of orig add saying that as well) I sent Him a fb message May 18 to schedule our class, he said to give him a week and call back that he is out of town. I called back in a week and he said he was still out of town. Then I sent another message if we were going to get our class or not. He then came forward and said Los Lunas office is moving and has been closed. We could take a weekend class with you. I explained the only reason we bought the classes to begin with was because 1. We could take class during weekday. 2. It could be week of June 5th, when our son was home and 3. No expiration date. And 4. It would be in Los Lunas. After giving him an 18 day notice and reminder that we were ready for our classes he failed as a businessman representing FAST and as a man of his word. I told him we could not take a weekend class and he caused us to not get our class with our son, he has since left. He said he would give me a refund to send the email of my receipt (I sent it) after waiting for several days it never showed in mail or never credited to my credit card. He then replied and said you mailed it on Monday the 12th. I sent him a message letting him know nothing has shown up. I have gotten no response at all now from him. He has not only lied to me but taken my money, and now ignoring me and now I'm dealing with you, the owner of fast. I am owed $128.83 and would like my refund please. As a person who studies criminal behavior I wonder about this. We as citizens in a community where crime is rising decide to take a CC class and get licensed to protect ourselves from criminals. But yet, get ripped off (money taken and no class). Then when I do some research I find they have been on the news and many others have complained for the same thing. Or have taken classes but can't get paperwork corrected or completed. Make this right and give me my refund! I have talked to Ed once! He was going to call me back on July 1st, 2017. I prepaid for a class and called to schedule a time to take my class. Ed has not been available to schedule the class. I have not had my calls returned, I have called and text to see about getting a refund, Ed will not answer calls or return text messages. My husband took the CCW class several months ago and had nothing but great things to say. I took the all women's class almost a week ago. I am glad I took the class however I am very unsatisfied with the way the class was ran. It was very unorganized and the trainer Rickettes was too busy flirting with his friend that took the class instead of teaching. I along with others found that very unprofessional. I would not recommend Abq Fast to anyone. read more
