I needed a toilet line snaked during a basement finish project. I called Roto and they said someone…read morewould be there within an hour but they would not give me a cost estimate (suspicious). The good: someone did show up that day. The bad: it took over 2.5 hours for them to show up, not less than 1 as the call center (and confirmation text) said. The terrible: the technician said it would cost $800 if the toilet was installed, but since I already had the toilet off, it would "only" cost $540. Only?! That's an outrageous price for snaking a single line. I won't be back.

This was the biggest waste of money and time. The plumber had no clue what he was doing, spent an…read morehour snaking from the toilet and the clean out, but could not find or solve the problem. He didn't think to go in the crawlspace and look at how the pipes T out, or try to see where everything was connected. He said we needed a camera scope but couldn't get it til the next day, and left our bathroom (which we are currently renting out to Airbnb guests) a mess, and just didn't know how to do anything. He then proceeded to charge $170 for doing and solving nothing. He even tried to add more items onto my bill and scam us for more, as well as force us into booking a camera appointment for the next day, when I didn't want to because I didn't trust that they were even competent in plumbing after this ordeal. Then we got Leo's to come and they knew what the problem was right away and fixed it, without what Roto-Rooter said being accurate at all. Leo's also was very taken aback by Roto-Rooter's incompetence and lack of motivation, as well as them charging me so much for doing literally nothing resulting in a solution and leaving the bathroom a disgusting mess. The guy obviously had no clue what he was doing and this company is a definite scam. We tried to get a refund because he couldn't figure out or solve anything, and they responded that they already gave us a discount. Very disappointed in this service and definitely deserve a refund. Nothing was ever actually fixed by them, but instead our bathroom was left in shambles with toilet still flooding, and then added water in our clean out from their technician. And they had the audacity to charge us still. I just saw on another review here that they "don't charge if they can't fix the problem", but that wasn't the case with me. They still charged without fixing anything at all. I feel taken advantage of as a woman dealing with a plumbing issue alone. Honestly disgusted.

Servpro is very good at cheating and arguing with customers and very incompetent at providing the…read moreservice they were hired to perform. After a water heater flood in July 2024, they were hired by USAA to address the issue. After 16 months of chaos my house is still unfinished and all of my household goods are still sitting on my front lawn in untouchable locked storage. They abandoned all communication in March of 2025 after I caught them being completely dishonest and called it out. Apparently, they took this criticism personally. The regional manager, William McFarland decided time wasted would be the best way to bully and punish my criticism of his incompetent management. Now, I'm tangled up in red tape between USAA, Contractor Connection, and Servpro as the owner. After 21 years with USAA this is the first major claim I've had to navigate. I never dreamed it would still be lingering after this much time has passed. This review is a desperate call for help into the Internet void. I'm running out of options for resolution at this point. I can't afford to give up and allow this company to bully me into submission. If your insurance company sends Servpro to your house, send them on their way as soon as they knock on your door. They will provide the lowest quality repairs in exchange for the maximum amount of money for them to send emails explaining why they are incompetent. They will offer concessions to string you along, but beware; they will not be true to their word. They will ask you to be understanding of their incompetent performance while ignoring any personal issues or restrictions you may have. Classic bait and switch business model. They will ghost you more and more as the concerns escalate to unfathomable levels. They will blame the subcontractor, the customer, the hardware store, the insurance company, the manufacturer and anyone else aside from their incompetent management team. They are a great reflection of the corruption we see all around us in the United States. And justice for those who can afford it. They knew this was going to be the case when they first began bullying me in the name of profits. Thieves and liars have all the power and we are left in the wreckage of the money grab. I guess my only recourse is to try and save up enough money to afford a lawyer to get this in the rigged justice system. I'm sure that'll be fruitful. Best advice I can offer is to send Servpro packing before they ever see a dollar of your insurance premiums.
