I usually lift or do yoga and had tried pilates twice before and had been unimpressed. That was before I had a one-on-one session with Linda at Urban. She is a fantastic coach. She clearly has a deep understanding of the discipline and is an excellent motivator. The session was perfectly tailored to my goals -- strenuous and focused on core strength and mobility. Now I get why people swear by pilates. Highly recommend trying this place out.

I could tell this is an intimate studio and people know each other, there's good vibes, which I always love. The hot yoga is a bit too hot for me, and they use the same routine every time, which a lot of people love! I personally enjoy more variation, but the poses give you a well rounded experience and you feel nice and balanced! I joined for a trail month, and plan on continuing the three months I'll be here for work. I also have only tried hot classes, I look forward to trying the other classes! One suggestion I would make. I didn't really care to see the bathrooms while I was practicing. It's probably just me, so I sat a different place the next time. Was thinking maybe some curtains in front of them would be nice!

The location can be a bit confusing to find if you are unfamiliar with the area, as its located in the back of the Tannery Row building (but the GPS brings you to the front). Thankfully, when texting with the studio regarding my appointment, they informed me that they are located in the back and this made things easier. I signed up for the introductory Private Pilates Package which allows me 5 Private Pilates sessions for $200. I have never taken a Pilates class in my life, so I was a bit nervous and intimidated. My instructor, Josee, was very warm, welcoming and explained everything we were doing in detail. The studio itself is really nice as well. It is spacious, open and has several different rooms for the various classes. They offer Yoga (aerial, prenatal, etc), Kettlebell, Pilates and more. I love the ease of being able to book classes online or through the app. I'm excited for my next class!

Joel's teaching style is patient and kind. The classes are so small it feels more like physical therapy or personal training rather than group fitness. My aerial class had 3 other students and my mat Pilates class had 2 other students. I would be a regular if I lived in the area!

They put me through the paces three times a week in a trio setting. The instructors work with students of many levels at once, so each participant gets a workout on their own level. My husband trains with me two times a week. Any infirmities we are blessed with are always taken into consideration with special modifications, so don't worry about aches and pains. The atmosphere is pleasant and encouraging at all times, with a variety of apparatus to make the workout interesting. The result is improved strength, endurance, and flexibility.

Once I entered, I saw the front desk and apparel area and saw the cubbies to put my stuff in. They had glass doors separating the reformer area from the front which I liked. The reformers were quite spaced out and the equipment was really new. Even the bathrooms were quite nice and could double as a changing place. My instructor Jody was really knowledgeable and made sure to account for any injuries and added enhancements for each move in case we wanted to get more of a workout. She also made sure we got on and did the exercises safely. Overall I like this franchise because of how new it is!

Something has seriously changed at this club over the past two years. The management and staff now…read morehave such a bad attitude -- there's absolutely no sense of customer service anymore. One staff member even told us that corporate "doesn't care" about our monthly Signature membership, and the manager bluntly said they don't care about our input. To make things worse, the concierge manager actually called me today to suspend my membership for 30 days -- simply because we voiced our concerns about the poor management and lack of service. This kind of retaliation against loyal members who speak up is completely unacceptable. After being loyal members for over 20 years, our family is heartbroken and disappointed. This used to be a club we were proud to belong to, but the lack of respect, professionalism, and accountability has made us seriously consider leaving for good.

The upstairs area is more open, newer floors, upgraded equipment and new activities. The pickle ball court is fantastic! Squash is still available, as well as the basketball court. They have kept the facility looking fresh. The food is still tasty, though I wouldn't complain if the price was decreased by about 10%. However, the main thing I noticed was how nice and engaging the staff has been. They have been very helpful and encouraging! It is not cheap but I think the price is now worth it.
