Here's what I have learned in the ten plus years I've been using Above All Gutters; whenever you think you've noticed an issue with your gutters, Greg and his crew already saw it, and they are going to be back to fix it immediately. I called to point out an elbow connection that had cracked over the winter because it had a small clog and froze. Literally, by the time I called the office to mention it and ask them to take a look at it the next time they came for a cleaning, I was told it was already taken care of. Sure enough, I came home from work and there was a brand new piece connecting my gutter and downspout. It's a relief to know that some people still honor a contract, and the team at Above All Gutters does just that. I know that every season the team will be there to take care of my gutters, and even offer shoveling services for my mom during a bad winter. Great company with great customer service! read more

ABSOLUTELY BELIEVE ALL OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS POSTED FOR THIS COMPANY - AND HERE'S ANOTHER ONE...WATCH THEM WHEN DOING THE JOB TO ENSURE YOU'RE GETTING THE SERVICE YOU'RE PAYING FOR - AND IF NOT, PAY BY CHECK (NOT CASH) FOR BETTER RECOURSE SECURITY!!! Two guys were here for a total of 10mins to clean out gutters that usually requires a longer timeframe, as per past experience for our home. We watched them rush through the job and did NOT run water through or even blow out the gutters (which is a requirement on their invoice) to ensure no debris was there. When I asked the lead guy to do so, he was coming down the ladder and said, "No need. Watch it (gutters) the next time it rains and you'll be surprised!" It rained the next day and we watched the water pouring OVER the uncleared gutters! He also said that they were "running behind" and still had four (4) more jobs to do before they were done for the day. (Hence, short-changing OUR job!!!) I called and explained the situation to receptionist, Maura and we rescheduled them to come back on another specific day. We waited all day - no show, no call, NOTHING! When I called to complain to Maura, she had the usual excuses that they didn't have time and had an attitude because I was upset! Terrible customer service!!! So, we rescheduled yet another day for them to come out and do the job they were expected and paid to do three (3) weeks earlier! Needless to say, we will NOT be using them again, nor will our other family members! read more

I wish I read these reviews before hiring this company. I used this company in the past without incident; however, the last time we used them my downspout in my backyard was fine before they came and bent and broken after they left. When we approached the business with this issue it took Maura months to get back to us. When it did get back to us the company's response was as follows "[s]orry it took so long to get back to you. With the holiday and vacations we finally were able to speak to the crew and show them the picture. The crew said they did not do the damage. Thank you Maura Above All Gutters" All I can say is BEWARE. I will NOT use them again. Two gentlemen showed up and (1) reattached the gutter and, (2) removed an old satellite dish and plugged the holes to protect the brick work. This company is very unprofessional. You set up an appointment and confirm it. You rearrange your schedule for them and above all, they just don't show up , they don't call and when you call them, they say " we will call you back." But the thing is they don't call you back. It must be great to own a business where the company has so many clients that they can afford to treat people so poorly. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We have had them clean our gutters regularly for a few years, but were recently noticing some damage upstairs that seemed to be due to a leak. Called someone to take a look at the roof and they came down with bags of debris that hadn't properly been cleaned out of the gutters, which ultimately led to a small tree growing into edge of the roof next to the gutters. I understand if some of that is beyond what they're contracted to clean but THEY DID NOT EVEN MENTION IT TO US and it would have been very obvious to them while cleaning. They were here to clean out the gutters just a few months ago so there's really no excuse. So disappointing (and potentially expensive down the road). read more

NEVER SHOWED UP despite waiting in all day. Made appt weeks in advance. Told I could call day before for a narrowing of time as to when they'd be here otherwise it's 8-4. Called to no avail. Emailed and was then told had to call at 8:30 day of to find out time. Called at 8:30 as requested, no one picked up left message, then at 8:42 still nothing. Emailed and finally got a call from Maura saying they'd be here between 1-3. I said it was inconsiderate for all your customers to have to be ready at 8 only to later find out your home is afternoon. 3 came and went, at 3:30 I tried calling the office and the other #Maura called from, no answer, 3:50 another attempt, emailed to find out when will they be here. NO ONE showed up, NO courtesy call, NO response to email or calls. They not only lost me as a customer but the referral said 2 of the 3 who were sent were ok but the third man was on camera dropping the debris on the lawn and clearly not clearing the length of the gutter only every 4ft or so dropping handfuls. Believe the lousy reviews. Time is precious and this company doesn't give a damn about the time you waited for no shows! read more

I have been using this service for at least 10 years and will be looking for another company. You never know when they are coming until you here them on your roof. They leave the detritus behind in plastic bags for your disposal. Yesterday they left my outdoor house running for hours until my basement flooded. I filed a vandalism report with the police and if they don't make amends will take them to small claims court. I am very unhappy with them and will be making other arrangements in the future. Update: their vandals who flooded my house just cost me $229.02 for my American Water Bill. The person, a woman, who answers their phones, is rude. I don't expect that they will pay for the washing machine that broke as a result of the flood the caused or the water bill, but I have the time and ability to seek my reimbursement through the court system. Maybe the Peoples Court or Judge Judy? Or more likely District Court in Hempstead. I am retired so I have plenty of time to spend on this CASE! read more

The worst customer care service ever. The incompetent crew of above all gutters did not clear clog in elbow of downspout as per my request. I now have water problem in basement and mold issue. I contacted Greg to discuss the situation and he responded in the most belligerent and ignorant manner. I recently saw the situation was not remedied with heavy rain recently greggy said work was performed three months ago and it probably reclogged. Totally impossible because there are no trees anywhere in the vicinity. I got my ladder and disassembled downspout and cleared out the most disgusting clog I've ever seen. Again impossible to have amassed that much mess in three months with no trees. Work was not done and Greggy refused to accept any responsibility. The most disgusting service company I've ever dealt with! Above all embarrassment. I used these guys for years to clear gutters and you get what you pay for - quick but sloppy. This year they left all kinds of gutter crap on my lawn, smeared against my house, on my neighbor's car, and they did nothing to remedy the situation. Been using this company for over 10 years to "clean our gutters". Of course I can never check their work if I could check a gutter I would clean myself. This year we had an issue and was disturbed to find that they did not properly clean at all. And I was told by a contractor that o have a gutter issue that they should have told me about. Called the owner Steve to complain. And was so disturbed to have him totally defending his "guys" and telling me that they definitely cleaned properly and if I have an issue with the gutters it is my responsibility to tell them. When I explained that I would not have know if it wasn't brought to my attention and I would expect them being the experts to inform me he got extremely defensive. Again told me I should have known and that if I realized the gutters were not cleaned I should have called him sooner. He refused to listen to anything I had to say and then after being a loyal customer for 10 plus years said. We don't see eye to eye and HUNG UP THE PHONE !!! So disgusting that he does not value his loyal customers at all. DISGUSTING PERSONALITY and disgusting customer service. I have been using this service for a few years and always suspected that my gutters were not cleaned well. I paid to get the gutters cleaned once again on 4/19/17. I decided to get new leaf guard gutters installed today. The workers were shocked to find leaves piled up in the leaders, water stagnant in the leader across my patio ceiling. It was very evident that a slip shod cleaning was performed on 4/19/17. The gutters could not have gotten so clogged in one month, particularly since I do not have big trees on my property. read more

I hired these people to do some repairs. They told me they could do the repairs and clean the gutters. The price seemed very good so I agreed. They came when I wasn't home and left me a bill. The problem is they didn't do the repair. After chasing them to come complete the work they came and told me someone else would have to come out to assess the repair and of course they didn't show up. So I'm short - they didn't do what they agreed to and charged me for it. My advice is they aren't honest and take my experience and hire someone decent. read more

Would not recommend. Left debris around the house and along driveway. Advised owner of the debris and a crew came back only to blow it around and not pick it up. Blew much of the debris under a car in driveway. At that time they had not finished the job and scheduled to come back a week later. Never showed. Debris and job still not competed. Called back and spoke with the office manager to schedule the completion of the job - very nice and apologetic - "the crew ran out of daylight". She advised that they would coordinate and come back tomorrow. Spoke with the owner that morning - he said he was "at wits end with me". I offered to provide him photos of debris that was still remaining. "I'm done with you, I'm not coming back. Find someone else." Greg, please tell your workers you got the wrong place to service gutters in Carle Place. They arrived last week on Dec 1st and today Dec 8th. My wife was trying to rest and she works in retail during this time and she's stressed out during the holiday shopping - but your mistakes just hit another level. Greg came to my house for an estimate to install gutters in the front and back of my house. He left a business card in my mailbox that said to call for the estimate. Ive been leaving messages for 3 weeks and still have no received a call back.You can even contact a person on the phone... he has a machine that you can leave a message on. Paid for Gutter Cleaning Services August 2014. Called in October, as they cashed my check but never showed up. Andrew assured me they would be there any day. Well, here it is January 2015 and they still did not perform the services I paid for. Last I spoke to him in December, I told him to refund my money if he could not do the services. He told me they would be here the week of 1/5/15 and they did not show up. It is 1/17/15 and I have not received a refund. In my opinion, when you take someone's money and don't perform the services, that's truly criminal. Steer clear! read more

After the company cleaned the gutters they left a mess of dirt/oil stains all around the driveway and cement walkways around the house. They refused to clean it and hung up on me when I complained they didn't clean up the mess they made. I don't know of any service business that doesn't clean up the mess they made at your house. I used this company to clean my gutters for 3 years...In the last 2 years they offered a contract for the year..cleaning after spring and after fall. In November 2016 Workers came by to do the fall work and a supervisor knocked on the door and said the workers would NOT be cleaning because they MISPRICED the contract at the beginning of the year that we already paid for...that they priced it too cheap! My wife said that they had a contract to perform the work...he said it wasn't worth the contracted price and we would get a refund. It has been 7 weeks since that promise. I had been using Above all Gutters for a few years and I thought they were good and fair. Until I needed new gutters and asked for a price. To make a long story short. Greg was going to charge me $1200. for a $ 800-900 job. I got many estimates all around the $750-800 mark when I called Greg to see if that was the best price he said he would take off $50. REALLY!!! Needless to say I will not use them. And the kicker is today I got home and found a $75. bill for cleaning my gutters.. AGAIN REALLY!! My new gutters are only a week old.
