It was a great experience as we were all split in to two teams. I was reluctant to even participate in this activity from all "it hurts" comments but I did it anyway. It was the SWAT team versus the Convicts. I had the liberty of being on the SWAT team because hey, we won all the rounds. We're awesome.. I know!! I honestly didn't know what to expect when I got here. So with that being said, it's really important to follow all the rules and play safe. Our guide laid out some pretty easy instructions to follow. Put on your protective gear, keep your gun pointed at the ground at all times, wave your hand up if you've been hit and exit safely. Of course with all the adrenaline pumping, it's easy to forget all the rules. I will say this however, if you're a first timer like me, try your best to avoid getting hit. Those paintball pellets hurt like a mutha !!! And I've got the bruises to prove it!! If you're an adrenaline junkie, this may be the place for you. Or if you just want to relieve some stress, come here!! We all know that violence is never the answer, so experiencing this was a real treat for me! I'd come here again... but with full body armor next time!!

You actually get to make your own makeup everything from lipstick and lip gloss to foundation. We did the lipstick class and had an absolute blast. You start by choosing your base, then play around with pigments, scents, flavors, and even add-ins like moisturizers or glitter for extra shine. It's hands-on in the best way, and the instructors guide you through every step so you feel confident the whole time. The class runs about 60-90 minutes, but it flies by because you're so immersed in the process. The shop itself is adorable, super cute, girly, and such a fun vibe. And the cherry on top is that each class comes with a glass of sangria, which just makes the whole experience feel even more special. If you're looking for a unique outing with friends, a cute date idea, or just something new to try, I highly recommend booking a class here. It's such a memorable experience.

I was busy running around having fun, that I really didn't get many pictures other than the bunkers (about 4-5) he brought, set up and breaks down. He arrived early as he said he would, scoped out the area, made sure the areas that needed to be blocked off with caution tape were and had the laser tag guns ready. These were the highest quality that I have used. The site was accurate and you could tag each other up to 600ft. Everyone was raving about the party, my son was beaming the whole time and all the kids were exhausted (same for me) after the 2 hours. Tom runs the all the games and keeps them moving but also does not interfere. We had kids ranging from 6-10, so one minor note is he did talk to them more like they were teenagers, nothing I had to intervene on but just wanted to share for awareness. He is also very upfront about the laser guns being a bit heavy for the younger kids and 6yrs olds played a game or so and did say it was heavy for them but he incorporates them into the game as scouts which they had fun time doing. The older kids didn't seem to have as much problem with the weight. A few of the dads are now also looking schedule something with our friends in the future. Overall I recommend, especially if you need someone who comes to you and all you have to worry about is the cake, food, drinks, etc.

We had actually arrived about 15 minutes prior to opening time but was able to hang out in the cool lobby while the workers finished their opening protocols. Standard admission is currently $10 and the building has 4 floors, with displays on floors 2-4. The main floor has a small gift shop. It was recommended that we start on floor 4 and work our way down. There was a mix of very interesting displays on Florida history including ranches, orange groves, the native people including some early interactions with those that escaped slavery, black history, a court room. Disney and NASA. There was even a tribute to Florida's 150th birthday. Quite the selection of history snippets for the limited space. It was an ok way to spend $10 and about 1.5 hours of time in Downtown Orlando. Worth visiting at least once.

It has a rich history and the Orange County History Center highlights this, as well as the rest of Orange County (of which I think a good chunk of it). It used to be the courthouse and they still have that courtroom as part of the center. It's neat to see although man, the echo's in there are crazy. I didn't see any parking close by so I parked at the Library garage and made the short walk over. Not too bad actually. But keep that in mind if you're planning a visit. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a nut for Halloween events, and even more so when they're under $30 (I'm 'thrifty,' what can I say!), so I was first in line to get tickets. The house was set up in a really unique way - with magicians at stations around the bottom floor and the large backyard patio. As an attendee you were able to walk around freely and stop at the different stations as the magician was 'performing.' These magicians were certainly not amateurs! Many of them had traveled from around the country to perform at the event and they really put on good, unique shows! There was also food and alcohol available for purchase outside at very reasonable prices ($3-$6 average per small dish). I honestly had a terrific time. I remember thinking that it was a shame that I had gone on the final night that year because I would have wanted to bring some friends and go again the next night! It was just really nice to be able to suspend reality for a few hours, while in a wonderful historic home in the heart of Downtown, being entertained by some incredibly talented (and funny) fellas. I'll absolutely be going again this year!

Anyway, I loved seeing some of the magicians I saw last year and seeing how more intricate their acts have gotten! I have yet to figure out how they do ANY of their tricks/illusions/magic/whatever it's called. Meraux (I hope I spelled that right) from New Orleans was a charmer as always, I think his name is Alex (he did tricks with red, foam balls last year) did some awesome card tricks, and Kostya killed it and got engaged on the last night (awww!), and there were some new ones that were funny and impressive! The best part was once they were about to close and the magicians are wrapping up, one tall redhead magician sat down with these two little kids to do a few tricks just for them. The impromptu side show was exactly what the entire night was about- skilled magicians who genuinely want to go above and beyond to give everyone a magical night. Can't wait for next year!
