WOW! We stumbled upon this little store after dinner and the lady who works there today was amazing! She was warm, welcoming and friendly and made our shopping experience the best ever! She was helpful but also gave you a lot of space. I was read y to give her all my money lol they have a lot of Nashville gifts as well as locally made crafts such as earrings and candles. The prices are super reasonable some of them are even the same as amazon! So Why not come here to support local! You won't regret it!! read more

The wife and I look forward to shopping this spot regularly and today was small business Saturday. We are always greeted once we enter and assisted with any questions that we may have. The store is always clean and stocked with local merchandise that would please any picky buyers. The owners are proud and available to assist and thank patrons for their business. We only leave a couple of blocks from the store so it's always a plus to have it close when gift giving or have quick access to local goods. I would recommend to sign up for the rewards points as you can redeem some during the holiday season. We love the shops on Fatherland, but this is hands down the best spot on the block. read more

Such a cute shop! My friends and I stopped by here while in Nashville for a girls weekend trip. This shop had so many cute and fun items. I especially loved their homemade paper crane earrings and bought a few pairs. Some things were a bit pricey in the store but the quality is great! This shop is so cute! It's on a very pedestrian friendly part of East Nashville chock full of lots of little stores. It's a very cute little boutique home goods store where everything is locally made. The presentation of the items is stellar and the overall feel of the store is cozy. They have a wide range of stuff---from baby blankets, to local honey, to pillows, to beard essentials, and cookbooks. The staff is also super friendly! The owners are two of the nicest guys you'll buy from this holiday season. I walked into Abode not knowing more than it was a highly recommended local shopping hub. I left a fan. In a season that's made it hard for me to get into the ho, ho, ho life*, I found the spirit in Abode. Actually, I found Nashville in Abode. Abode is a one-stop shop for all things local and unique about the Music City. No matter what local touch you're looking for, you're pretty sure to find it here. As the Middle Tennessee purveyors you've been looking for, expect to get your fill of candles, mixes, cookies, clothes, knick-knacks, jams, mugs, chocolates, teas, books, balms, and so much more. The shop is incredibly comfy/cozy. If they served hot chocolate and/or cider, it might be the perfect winter respite away from home. On the other side of the store front is a dedicated pet space/company so be mindful when shopping. I had to ask whether the goodies I was buying was for humans or dogs. Whether you're buying gifts for the holidays, looking into Nashville-lizing your home or, simply, wandering the area not knowing you were in the mood to buy something, Abode should be on your short list of must-hit places. Abode Mercantile is one of three shops a row that are owned by the same folks. Along with a bath store and a pet gear businesses, these guys have just about everything you need for your home and family. We were drawn in by their gourmet food stuffs including delicious, bread mixes which we purchased to take back to KY. The shop has a comfortable, casual feel. It actually reminded me a lot of one of my favorite, Louisville boutiques. They carry items perfect for hostess gifts, birthday presents, or to pamper your family. The bath store has its own entrance, but the open space flows from Abode. I was tempted to get some of the amazing smelling bath salts, but I'd just indulged in some bath goodies at another shop. The owner was warm and welcoming, answering my questions about their bath products - I don't do palm oil or artificial scents in my beauty items. I can't wait for our next road trip so I can try out their bath line. read more

Shopping for local gifts for my mother in law I popped in to this super cute shop. They were very helpful & sweet. I'm so glad my random Google search led us there because this cozy store was loaded with the most amazing items. There was everything from home decor, unique gifts, jewelry and food/drink items. Snaps for being open at 10.45 ahead of time. My first time in here but not my last. Some nice locally made cookies and other food products (no not moon pies and goo goos). some nice tin box cookies with Music City and other Nashville logos on the tin. Some nice plates and fake tomatoes $3.99 (remember that for this time next year for my centerpiece). All in all a great place for foodie gifts and non jewelry. Friendly storekeeper. read more

This store is my go-to for local Nashville food gifts. It's that time of year again to scramble around for Christmas gifts. One advantage to living in a different state than your family is buying Nashville goodies is always a crowd pleaser. I love brands like The Loveless Cafe and Nashville Jam, but going to each location to buy gifts can be a hassle. Abode Mercantile has everything you need under one roof. The store is located in the Shoppes on Fatherland. The store is kind of split into two sections. The right side is mostly home stuff and then the left is food and kitchen. The home stuff is cute. I would label it rustic vintage. I always find myself in the bath section smelling all of the bath bombs. Also, they have some amazing candles. We are all guilty of spending way too much time smelling candles at stores. My latest trip here was on Small Business Saturday. The place was hoppin' (yay for local shopping!). I was able to find a Nashville Jam jam and Rosemary Beer Bread. The perfect gift for a certain family member. It was hard to choose though because all of the food looked so good! They had samples out of the jams and a corn relish. I was on a mission so I didn't try any, but it was a nice touch! The line was n't too long but I could tell the workers were a little frazzled. When I got to the front I found out why. One of their computers was acting up. Of course this happens on their busiest day! The man at the front (I assume he was the owner) was so nice and apologized for the wait. It really was no problem and I hope everyone was patient with them that day. They were so nice! If you're looking for a gift, definitely check this place out. Or treat yourself to a little something! read more

Okay, this may be the cutest store I've ever walked into! I randomly popped in with two out-of-towners and we proceeded to buy so much stuff. There are so many adorable sections to this store - a wine section, tea section, "Nashville section", etc. etc. There's also a pet store attached to it, which also has more adorable items for purchase. I am so glad I found this place - I will definitely be back! Great store to buy home decorations, lotions....I'm telling you - they have SO much! You must come here!!
