Christina was absolutely incredible; my experience was nothing short of sublime…read more It was my birthday, and at the last minute, a stylist that I've been going to for three years had canceled my appointment two hours before birthday dinner. Your receptionist and Kristina were gracious enough to squeeze me in last minute as a walk-in. After showing her a picture of the vibe I was going for, she proceeded with precision and intention, using scissors masterfully where others would've used clippers, point cuts as opposed to shears, but most importantly made the minutes feel feel luxuriously longer, the styling bespoke, and cutated a creatively current cut for a happy man who upon leaving, looked ten years younger on his 50th birthday. 50 is the new 40, and Hawthorn has a new, grateful and loyal client. I finally found MY salon!!! ‍ Now, fair warning: I'm a little bit of a salon snob. (Okay, maybe more than a little ) But in my defense, I literally named my first daughter after my former stylist, so when I find "the one," I'm loyal for life. And for the record... she moved away first, so let's not throw around the word hypocrite Here's my personal salon checklist: Fun area where I can wander before/after A funky, welcoming vibe inside A stylist who knows their stuff and is super friendly AMAZING products And of course... FABULOUS results And guess what? This place checked EVERY. SINGLE. BOX. Shoutout to Zoey she absolutely nailed it! My hair looks incredible, I felt totally taken care of, and the whole experience was just FUN. Located in the Five Points area, so parking can be a hassle arriving early at busy times suggested!

I discovered Salon 718 going to a Foodie meet up with my friends in the same shopping center…read more I have been going to Angela for over a year. I was so grateful to have stumbled upon her Salon. I have been searching for a salon and stylist that truly cares about the health of your hair and who knows how to cut hair properly. Most salons CANNOT cut hair professionally even though they charge you for said "professional cut." Angela will give you an outstanding cut. I firmly believe that my hair grew faster and healthier because of it. My hair was so damaged, tangled and breaking off from hormones and stress. Angela was so sweet and extremely informative about hair health and products. She has a pleasant and gentle energy that transfers to how she handles the service that you're getting. She is honest and gives you all the information regarding your hair as well as how to take care of it "after" the appointment. Every single time I go to Angela my hair looks and feels so healthy, shiny and gorgeous. My scalp feels clean and my my hair has so much body. My style lasts for 7 to 10 days guaranteed when I use a silk bonnet and minimal product. Angela is the best!! She is a hair SAFE salon! :) I don't have a photo but I will update my review on my next visit!

My first time visiting and I showed Chris what I was looking for - I wanted to grow my hair out a bit and he helped start me on the journey. Either way, it was nice to speak with someone that seems to understand hair and how to make the "awkward phase" of growing your hair out seem more manageable.

The best waxing experiences in my life here (read Kristen is very detailed and highly skilled at performing waxes on even the most sensitive areas and expect to feel relaxed and treated like a king). The decor in loft 10 hands down more appealing to the eye. There's a great feeling walking into the room - it's got real plants inside - it's really relaxing and refreshing. I would recommend to a friend - good value and good customer service.

While I'm not the type that normally frequents Salons, but just per my observation, Jammie is really great with what she does; she knows her stuff.   She is even more fantastic with kids. She was very patient with my daughter. My daughter really liked her a lot to the point that when it was time for her to get her hair cut again, Jammie would be the first person she wants to go to.   You can find Jammie at Foiled Rotten Salon off Baymeadows Road, in Jacksonville. I highly recommend Jammie. She is definitely a "cut" above the rest =)   And for those curious minded, Jammie does not do my hair. I wash my hair with fresh berries, citrus and Aloe imported from Italy (that sounds good)...so my hair would be too delicate for Jammie's handling. I go to an institution called Great Clips.
