Able locksmiths were a fantastic company to work with. I contacted the business on Monday, and the locks were changed Thursday. They were very good at returning phone calls and working with me and my work schedule in order that I might be home when they came. The serviceman was very friendly and knowledgeable answering any questions I had. He also worked very quickly and was in and out in a short time. Do not hire, total rip off. For a total of $483.85, they rekeyed 4 simple locks and replaced a basic lock that you can buy anywhere for $19. They charged me twice of the quoted price which was $105 service call, $22.50 to rekey each lock, and $6.50 per key. The service guy said that one of the locks didn't have a key, he offered to replace the lock for $55. He then charged me an additional $230 for labor which was a total surprise, I was told there will be no hidden charges. There are plenty of locksmiths that will honor their quote, and do the job for a lot less. Able Locksmiths are not to be trusted, they will find a way to rip you off. read more

I purchase 2 deadbolts locks with keys that were suppose to be pic resistant because someone keep coming into my home. I paid 891.00 for these locks. When I called the Able Locksmith Company and told Tony who is one of the owner at Able Locksmith he acted like I was bothering him. I'm giving two stars because the gentleman at the counter was polite. Otherwise I feel as if things were rushed and overly priced. It took 5 min for them to tell me my key was no good and I had to buy new one. $200 for the key alone and another $95 to program it. I called around to near by businesses and found much better deals. Took my business elsewhere where they took the extra time to determine was wrong with my key. I know have a perfect working key fob for far less the price. However if you are on a time crunch and need a key right then I'm sure they will prepare it in a timely manner. read more

Whenever I have done business with these folks, it has always been a great experience. Juan, their service guy, is very, very honest, and absolutely wonderful. He recently assisted me with my patio door lock and was able to repair it, but advised I need to get a lock replacement within a year as it is pretty much a "matter of time" before it totally goes bad. I have had them change the locks and make new keys for our office over the years and they have just been terrific to work with! read more

The problem I have with Able was that I was locked out of my place of residence and informed to call the emergency number. I did but no one answered. Waited a hour, called again at about 4pm. This time someone answered but informed me that no one would be able to help me until the following day after 10am and the charge will be $125. I didn't like this answer being I was in need of assistance fast and I felt the price was a little steep. All in all, I went with another locksmith, who was half that price and was "Able" (pun intended) to help me in a half hour. Needless to say, it will be a cold day in July before I even think about using or recommending this service to anyone. read more
