I was back in my car within 15 minutes of calling. When I opened my wallet, it turned out I was a dollar short on cash. They also take credit cards, but when I whipped mine out, he said we could just call it good on the cash. That was nice. The best choice I ever made I had to have a Taxi come pick me up and take me back to my car "Bust a Lock" waited there for me even though I had to call another cab due to the one that was supposed to pick me up never showed!! My son went to start the van for me and I didn't realize he had taken the second set of keys out there. When he shut the door he accidentally bit the lock button, locking both set of keys in there! This is obviously one of those services you hope to never have to use, but alas, my husband and I locked ourselves out of our house this morning at had to bite the bullet and call for help. Although many other places advertised themselves as 24/7, Bust-A-Lock was the only one of several places that answered our call at around 6:30am. Brian came out around 20 minutes later, was very professional, and had us inside within a couple of minutes, for $50. I had horribly unethical service from Bust-A-Lock. When I inquired about the rate, I was told I would pay a $20 service fee, and then a $20 unlocking fee. I even restated this to them over the phone to be sure there were no hidden fees. However, after unlocking my car, they charged me $60! And then, they were completely unwilling to compensate me or admit that they were unethical about it. I would NEVER recommend any business as UNETHICAL as this one. :( read more

I simply needed a $30 deadbolt replaced. I was in a bind because I couldn't leave the house. I called "Bust-A-Lock" and was not quoted a price on the phone as their website proclaims. The website also claims the locksmith will arrive in 15 minutes or less...I waited over an hour. When Scott was finished...the 10 minute job cost me $160!!! Are you kidding me??? I will never call these guys EVER again and will tell others of these shady practices. read more
