This doctor is does not practice patient care. He practices medicine with a moderate success rate…read more He will treat you as a dollar sign not a human being. While most of his staff a good, one in particular told me incorrect and possibly dangerous information. That person was giving advice on something he had zero knowledge about. Do not go here for any reason. There are to many physicians that hold patient care and concern as a routine part of their practice in their practice of medicine greater Orlando area. Sadly, Burkhart is not one of them!

The absolute WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever endured from any professional. I don't know if I'm more…read moreembarrassed for the doctor due to his conduct and negligence or mad at myself for putting up with his immature behavior for so long. I'm a 28 yr old former college athlete, consistently work out daily. I'd been seeing Burkhart since 2021 due to an injury sustained that he was never able to provide a treatment plan for and I never recovered even 50%. Recently, I injured myself and visited him on crutches 08/17/2022 he didn't want to order an MRI, said "I didn't need it and it was just arthritis", even though my knee had dislocated and the urgent care doctor who gave me crutches so I could walk recommended an MRI. We went back and forth for about 5 minutes and he eventually ordered the MRI, thank God. MRI took place on 08/19/2022 ***I reviewed the medical notes he wrote and they were ALL incorrect and lies!*** I had my girlfriend attend the last visit with me on 08/23/2022 so we could request a wheelchair, witness his behavior, and he didn't disappoint. For the 1:50pm appointment he didn't see me until 2:40pm, I had to ask somebody in the clinic to fetch him. The MRI he said I didn't need showed damage to the meniscus, it's fringed. I've since been told by another doctor that it's torn. HE ACTUALLY REFUSED TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS OR HERS ABOUT MY CARE AND INJURIES. I can't make this up, I asked him a specific question and his response was "Me answering that question will not give you the answer that you need." as if he's the Oracle from the Matrix. Ultimately, 8 minutes into the appointment he got up and walked out of the room and said "I'm not doing this." after I repeatedly asked him how a fringed meniscus could inhibit my recovery. When communicating my complaints to the branch manager he walked in to INTERRUPT, didn't say excuse me or anything and gave some spiel about how he's an expert doctor even though I'm on crutches with no ETA on when I'll even be able to walk again. He gave me a wheelchair prescription and then cancelled it a week later. Additionally the medical supply company who handles the wheelchair order stated that the notes he provided weren't adequate enough to get a wheelchair through insurance. HE WROTE IN THE NOTES THAT DURING THE EXAMINATION THERE WERE NO CHANGES EVEN THOUGH PRIOR TO 08/09 I COULD WALK AND NOW I CAN'T EVEN GET DRESSED WITHOUT SITTING DOWN. HIS INSOLENCE AND INCOMPETENCE HAS HINDERED AND PROLONGED MY ABILITY TO SUCCESSFULLY RECOVER. There's so much more but this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I can't say enough about how pleased I've been with the experience my mom had working with Dr…read more Tutorino. She had her right hip and both knees replaced all in 2016. I have been with her both on surgery day and at several of her appointments. So first things first, it's easy to give a five star review when all of her surgeries went well. There were a few snags here and there with the hospital, but once Dr. Tutorino and his staff were involved everything was resolved swiftly. What I found most impressive about Dr. Tutorino and his staff is the evidence that they truly care about the patients. The first example of this is that after my mom had her first knee surgery, she and I gave Dr. Tutorino feedback on the low amount of pain medication she was given after leaving the hospital. It wasn't really enough to relieve her pain as prescribed and so we had to ask for a refill only a few days after leaving the hospital. Dr. Tutorino said that he would work with the physician at the hospital and sure enough, for my mom's next surgery she was prescribed a higher amount that was just right to manage her pain. Another time my mom and I were at Dr. Tutorino's office and they were running behind with the schedule. We had been waiting for over 30 minutes and the office was packed. Collette, the office manager, came around to everyone with a basket of snacks for everyone to enjoy while they were waiting. The office of Orthopaedics of Florida offers full hip, knee and shoulder replacements, as well as care for athletic injuries. They are aligned with Florida Hospital and all of my mom's surgeries took place there. After each surgery Dr. Tutorino came out personally to update me on my mom's status. He also came to her bed every day in the hospital to check on her. There was also a RN coordinator, Diane, working directly for Dr. Tutorino, who interfaces with the hospital staff and was integral in overseeing my mom's comfort and care while recovering. If you are having surgery I would recommend that you save her contact information and reach out to her immediately if you are having any issues. After leaving the hospital if you need help after hours there is an answering service and Dr. Tutorino returned our call personally. It's evident that Dr. Tutorino is constantly evaluating and improving his post surgical care guidelines. From one knee surgery to the next my mom's pain management was updated to a newer method, and her physical therapy was modified. I believe both were improvements and lead to an even faster recovery on the second knee. Overall I would give Dr. Tutorino and his staff my highest recommendation.
