There was alot of snow and the shovel did a walking b=path... not as wide as we typically do. But it will be sent in the morning after review by supervisor. The was under an emergency ordinance travel was tough and we did and are doing our best. " If they called, emailed or text you, then they spoke to me. I never heard from them. It got to a point where I hated going home because I felt like I was walking into pigsty and it depressed me. After trying to ignore the issue, I reached a point where I decided I needed to do something because ignoring the problem was not going to fix it; and if I wanted to change the way I felt about my messy home, I needed to either spend the time cleaning or spend some money hiring a professional to help me. I'd never hired a professional cleaning service before and practically speaking, I initially had three concerns: (1) where do I find one? (2) can I even afford it? and; (3) can I find a trustworthy company where I feel safe entrusting them with my keys to come in and clean my place while I'm not home. As for my first question, I literally didn't know where to start. Eventually, I managed to find my way to Yelp and looked up services that are near me. I'm in Edgewater and based on my location, it recommended 4 places, so I requested a quote from all 4. Express Cleaning Team was the last to respond to my query but I'm really glad they did because it solved my second concern: cost. I originally had an idea of how much I wanted to spend but after receiving quotes from the first 3 services, I was left feeling disappointed because it was WAY beyond what I wanted to budget for a weekly appointment. It turned out that ECT's rates are so reasonable and affordable, my only regret is not having looked into this much sooner. All I had to do was to fill out their booking form on their website. Once I completed their dozen or so questions, I was quoted less than $100 a week to clean my two bedroom/one bathroom apartment. Now that I knew there was a service near my home that fit my budget, the only thing I had left to determine was whether I could trust them enough to give them a copy of my keys to clean the apartment when I'm at work. I wanted to make sure, so once I got an email confirmation from Jimmy, I asked him if it were possible to meet someone from the company on a weekend when I was home. Despite being outside of their business hours, his wife Fary graciously agreed to come by on Saturday to meet me and personally clean my apartment. I mean, how amazing and awesome is that?! It was her day off, but she still nonetheless took the time to come to my home just to meet me, give me the peace of mind, and did a truly AMAZING job. I didn't stay the entire time she was there but when I came home later that night, I was left speechless. I was so stunned and grateful for the care and attention that was clearly spent because everything was perfect. Honestly, it was like every little thing was carefully put in its place and every surface was expertly cleaned. You could easily tell how much care and attention was spent making sure I came home happy. If you're reading this review, you may be interested in hiring a cleaning service but have similar concerns about actually hiring one like I did. If so, I hope this helps in your calculus for reaching a decision. I was very pleased in my decision to hire ECT and I'm certain that going forward, I will actually want to come home instead on being depressed whenever I walk through my door.

My vehicle was declared a total loss. Despite this, I was charged indoor storage fees, however the vehicle was parked on a public street, not stored inside the facility. I have photos and videos documenting where the vehicle was kept. When the insurance adjuster inspected the vehicle on site, the car was visibly parked in public street parking. The shop, through Jennifer (supposed owner) and Anthony, nevertheless represented to the adjuster that indoor storage charges applied, despite the vehicle not being stored indoors at the time. I was also charged a fee for dollies, even though no dollies were used 1. It's a AWD 2. It was missing a tire ! The vehicle was towed by the shop using a Chevy pickup truck, and no dolly equipment was attached or utilized during the tow. Additionally, I was charged a fee for removing license plates, even though the plates were still on the vehicle. According to the shop, this was required to prevent tickets, even though the vehicle should have been stored indoors, where plate removal would not have been necessary. Over time, the shop added multiple fees that did not reflect actual services rendered, vehicle remained at the shop for over a month. The image attached to this review reflects only a portion of the charges; the total charges ultimately increased to over $9,000. I sent multiple emails, and my insurance company also contacted them, but we never received a response. Statements regarding insurance and payment responsibility were also made but were not reflected in the final outcome. This review is intended to inform others: if you are in an accident or have a totaled vehicle, be cautious when using this shop. Ensure all charges and services are documented in writing and carefully monitor the handling of your vehicle. Due to these issues, a formal complaint has been filed with the DMV as well as New York State Division of Consumer Protection and BBB..

Less than three months later when victim of a 3rd cat theft, Gotham rapidly inspected the car and did their best to keep the repair bill down. Nevertheless, the estimate ended up triggering the insurance company totaling my car. Sensitive to my frustrating situation, the team at Gotham was professional, courteous, attentive and accommodating - like every experience with them. Gotham thankfully made a difficult situation easier to get through. Should my next car require similar big repair work, I'd consider using them again.
