William "Bill" Casey was nothing but that, a BILL. From my experience he did not take my case or…read moresituation seriously. I was brushed off numerous times until it was time to pay my invoice. I was in a Family Court case in Hennepin County and he did NOTHING to push the needle on resolving the issues at hand. I'm not sure if he had too much of a work load or it was because I am a person of color, but I am still in court, now without him because all he did was pacify me and file pointless paperwork. I had situations where my child was not returned me, I would call for advise and searching for something I could do to make sure my child was safe and IF Bill answered, I was told that that was not an emergency. But when it came time for trial, a different client had the SAME situation, a day before my trial date, and that situation caused him to not be able to prepare properly for my trial. Same exact situation, I know because Bill told me about it and he exposed himself for handling it differently! While in trial, Bill did not advocate for me. It felt as if I was against the other party and MY LAWYER, whom I paid and is supposed to be on my side, no matter what. There are things that Bill swore the court would not grant me (ie: not sharing my address with the other party) and I fought for that ON MY OWN, I decided to let the judge decide that for us and I WON! Now if I had listened to no guts Bill and huge detail of my family's life would be different forever. 0 out of 5 stars! He sounded aggressive and willing in the beginning and then everything changed like a light switch. I should have fired him long before I spent $10k just to be in the SAME place, 18 months later.

He was very attentive to my brother's case, which was driving an unregistered car without insurance, with an expired license and with someone else's tabs on the plates. My brother had just graduated college the week this all happened and planned to move out of the state in a month or two. We were VERY worried this traffic violation would seriously mess up his plans to move and also drown him in fines. Mr. Rice had an initial, free consultation with my brother. Once we decided to use his services we signed a retainer agreement and paid. From then on, he and my brother emailed back and forth regarding the case. I don't believe they met in person again, but Mr. Rice emailed back almost immediately every time and always answered his phone calls. He kept us informed on what we could expect and what his goals were for the case. Court day: Mr. Rice showed up early, confident and ready. Other lawyers that day did not even show up on time.
