There may exist many B&B type places in the immediate area that could boast such historic charm, authenitc decor...managed by the most pleasant house manager known to travelers near and far, Gert. But I doubt it.
Bathrooms are new, contemporary and sparkling clean white. Beds are comfortable feather types.
Breakfast? You want it, you get it. Gert goes out of his way to do and/or give you anything you want. Welsh fry up? Bacon, rashers, chipolatas (breakfast sausages)? Indeed. All you can eat. Healthy porridge or brand cereal...with non-fat milk? Yep. Fruit? Organic, lots of them. Toast? Jam? Fresh creamery butter? It's there before you can even ask. 8 different types of bread/toast, plus muffins, croissants, etc.
Only downside was iffy Wifi which seemed to be rampant in Wales, most of the UK and Northern Europe.
Definitely the best spot I stayed at while traveling through N. mainland Europe over a month - and the only B&B during that time. If asked "if", I'd resound with a "when".
Definitely on my list of accommodation return stays. read more
