Another time was given in the event that the technician was unable to make the timeframe I first chose. The technician then later called to ask if he could come early!!! YES! He came out, explained thoroughly what the code mean and what he felt the issue was and fixed it immediately. He also explained another issue the code could mean but thought that it was only the fan issue and not a coolant issue. So he fixed it quickly and ensured I knew to call him should the issue reappear. I was very pleased with the honesty and integrity of the men in this company. They chose to do their business in honesty, not overcharging for service not necessary. Because I am an older woman, many companies seem to try to take advantage and overcharge. NOT THIS COMPANY!!! CALL THEM! I now have a fully functioning refrigerator that has been going strong. The whole cost was less than $100. The technician even gave me information on what to ask for at Home Depot/Lowes to fix the issue of re-hooking up the water line after the water line was moved during a downstairs complete remodel.

I didn't have their contact information handy, so I started working through every local shop I could find online. Plenty of them advertise 24/7 service, nights, weekends, and holidays. Every one with a website had a closed-for-the-holiday notice or an out-of-office message up, and not one of them got back to me. U.S. Appliance Services did, and quickly. Over the holiday, it felt like they were the only repair company still in business. The only reason this isn't five stars is timing. They already had other jobs booked, so the repair itself happened a couple of days after the holiday. That was reasonable under the circumstances, but a same-day visit would have made this an easy five. When they came out, the visit was quick, efficient, and clean. There was no sales pitch, no push toward an upgraded repair, and no attempt to sell me anything I didn't need. Pricing is clear and transparent, and it's reasonable for this market. My first call with them, about a year ago, was for a dishwasher. It turned out they couldn't fix it, so they charged me what amounted to a service-call fee instead of billing me for a repair they didn't make. I ended up replacing the dishwasher, but that kind of honesty counts for a lot with me. One practical tip: text them. They'll answer messages through Yelp, but texts usually get a fairly quick reply. This area has no shortage of businesses that say they repair appliances. Far fewer seem to have the capacity to show up when you need them. One of the big box stores' websites claimed they had bisque (but not locally) and could deliver in a few months. So we debated a bit about black, white, or stainless. When we needed repairs on two of our other (similarly old) appliances the repairman said the parts were no longer available. I had seen Smith's near the fairgrounds and knew roughly where it was, so I called, got good directions via phone, and was greeted promptly by the owner. When I said I needed an over the stove microwave - in bisque - instead of "sorry" he said he tries to keep bisque in stock and had one in the back room right now, new in box! Would next week be ok? Yes please! His deliver - install - haul away price was far better than the chain store prices AND he had it in stock! The installers arrived on time, removed the old one, checked the new one, and determined that the opening in the cabinetry was too deep ; the new one would go in but the doors wouldn't open. Oops! They called someone to handle the necessary carpentry, which was done efficiently for a perfect fit. No muss, no fuss. The new microwave fits AND works perfectly, and matches our other bisque appliances. Nobody is predicting another 27 years, but that's ok - I'm sure our other appliances will fail sooner or later and we know where to go!
