So I am not so sure why my recent review was placed in the "not recommended comments" so I am going t repost... Both of my sons attended ABC's of Learning and I cannot rave enough about my experiences there!! The staff is absolutely amazing...so warm and friendly. They create an inviting atmosphere that EVERY pre-school should possess. From the first moment I met the director, I knew that this would be the smartest decision I could make for my babies. So caring and sensitive to the needs of each individual child and they always had my children engaged and excited to learn. They taught my kids not only the curriculum but they also taught them respect, confidence, and organization. Both of my boys have such enthusiasm to learn and a genuine love for reading which are skills that they will continue to carry through their school years (and yes I can legitimately say that considering my oldest son completed school there four years ago and STILL carries so much of what he learned there!!) My youngest son just graduated the Kindergarten program there and it makes me sad to leave. These ladies have taken so much time to know my children and truly make their preschool experience so wonderful...they have become family to us. The education that my boys have received through the years there and the fondest memories of their first steps in school are something they will always remember and I cannot thank each and every staff member enough for playing such an important role in who my boys have become as students...and little people. It really is amazing how intelligent, articulate, well behaved, and well rounded the children at ABC's are. My boys have made "forever friends" there!! Memories of each trunk or treat, field trip, and graduation (since we have experienced three of them!!) have been such wonderful things for the children to look back upon. So here I go...my youngest son going into First grade (reading at almost a SECOND grade level by the way!!) and looking back VERY FONDLY upon my days at ABC's of Learning... I truly feel that FIVE STARS IS NOT ENOUGH!!! I would absolutely HIGHLY RECOMMEND this school to ANYONE!! Hands down THE BEST PRESCHOOL DECISION!!!!!!! read more

This School is by far the best in the area. I have said for years, if Mrs Luke had class thru 8th grade my children would be with her the entire way! When we knew we were moving to Kinnelon from Boonton Township I personally visited every school in a 20+ mile radius for my 3 year old daughter. My husband and I both worked and she would be in school from 8am - 6pm so the right environment was critical to us. ABC's of Learning was the most calm, creative, inspiring, warm and inviting places. I couldn't believe how well the children interacted and were actively listening to instructors and each other. Collaborative play and group lessons were so well executed I wasn't surprised at all how quickly my daughter began speaking clearly and learning in their program. The children learn at their own pace with the encouragement of peers as well as instructors. The environment fosters such friendships, freedom to explore and encourages self expression. But most importantly, the children are nurtured and cared for like an extension of family. My daughter still thinks that Mrs Luke is somehow related to us. My daughter stayed thru kindergarten-I wish it could've been longer- and she was very sad when it was time to leave. She loves going with me to pick up her baby brother (Age 3) who is currently enrolled. She entered First Grade with Reading and Math at a second grade level- all thanks to the amazing teachers at ABC's of Learning. I think my biggest Ah- ha moment was when a few of her teachers in her new public school asked where she had attended prior and when i told them ABC's of Learning they all nodded in affirmation because they knew the school and and one said "Ah! ABC's of Learning, Montville, NJ My daughter has been attending this school since she was 2 1/2 and it's been the best thing for her. The teachers here are nurturing and sensitive to each individual child's needs. Their Montessori approach to teaching is a great way to learn and captures the child's interests. The children are able to learn and grow at their own pace. The teachers strive for excellence and keep the kids motivated. Learning is fun and the environment is inviting, so the children look forward to coming to school. They concentrate on different topics every month and it's great to see and hear about everything from dinosaurs to birds, the solar system to mother nature. Our daughter comes home every day, excited to tell us all about her day at school! I am truly amazed at the things she has learned at her time here at ABC's of Learning. We really feel that we made the best choice for her academically would recommend this school to other parents who are looking for a wonderful learning environment for your child's first experience as a student. read more

I have had three children attend this school. I could not be happier with what they learned while at ABC's. Two of my children are now in public school. They are both well adjusted and ahead in their studies. I understand how someone can say these children would be bored in kindergarten. This happened with my children. I simply went to the teachers, expressed my concern, and they willingly gave my children work that satisfied their thirst for learning. There are a million preschools/daycares out there. It depends on what you want for your children. My pediatrician recommended that my children go to Montessorri. They have time to play at the school and frankly, alot of the learning takes places through a type of game which makes it so interesting for the children. I have had all the teachers in this school...I cannot think of one negative thing to say about any of them. I would do it exactly the same way of I had to start all over again. read more

My daughter attended ABC's of Learning for pre-school and graduated from their Kindergarten program 4 years ago. When she started 1st grade in our district, her teacher was impressed by how smart, polite, well-behaved and well-rounded she was. Every new teacher continues to say the same each year and she is now going into 5th grade! I owe a HUGE part of that to ABC's and their wonderful director, Mrs. Luke, and all of their teachers. It was truly amazing to watch her thrive in such a fun, engaging school. The entire staff was always so encouraging as her little personality grew. They provide a safe and nurturing environment for each and every one of their students. Graduation was definitely bittersweet; we miss them so much! Both of my children attended ABCs of Learning and I have been completely impressed with their experience and education from the school. The teachers are warm, caring, and loving to the students and their skills in education and child development are beyond compare (I learned a thing or two about parenting from them too!!!). The school is run well (and is VERY clean) and there are so many fun activities the kids can participate in. I searched many different schools before I enrolled my kids in ABCs and honestly, my opinon, none compare to ABCs. The children develop at their own pace and are exposed to learning in their own way. Both my kids graduated...my youngest this year. I was in tears thinking that MY experience with this school is now over. I will always treasure their influence on my family. read more

I can't say enough about Mrs. Luke and her passionate team of teachers. My son started ABC's when he was three years old. He had a tough time adjusting to a new environment and Mrs. Luke and her team not only made him feel comfortable, but treated him like a member of the family. He thrives in a family atmosphere and that is exactly what ABC's provided him for over 3 years.
