If you're looking for a prek for your little one instead of a daycare ... this is the place. They have a structured school day/meal times/nap times. His teacher has been working with him with potty training which is amazing. They even offer before and after care which was very important for me with my work schedule. Although it's small there is a little outdoor play area they go to when the weather is nice. My son always is excited when he gets to go out and play there. It's nice that they communicate with parents often. We get a calendar every month of what the kids will be learning and any important dates to remember. I love getting the weekly picture updates. There are lots of fun activities for the kids during the school day also. I like that they have enrichment programs once a week (with an outside company that comes in) you can pay extra for (my son has already done gymnastics and soccer skills). Another plus is that there is summer camp which runs similar hours and you can choose which weeks to send them (1-8 weeks). The teacher and director are always available to answer questions and get back to me quickly when I send a message or email. All of the teachers and aides are so sweet and caring towards my son and the other kids. My son never cries that he has to go to school and always tells me he had a good day and loves school. Since the preschool is in a Temple, there is ample space to move about during the day. Children get to runaround indoors in a multi-purpose room (trikes, sports, yoga, etc) and they built a brand new beautiful playground last year (that can even be shaded from sun!). Oh...and there is a cooking class! Aside from the fantastic facility, the administration and staff are unmatchable. They truly love your child like their own. You are always greeted warmly in the morning. Teachers will get down on the child's level, make eye contact with each kid at drop off, and your children will always feel seen and heard. I never question if my children are safe and loved. Beautiful friendships are cultivated amongst children and families. There is ample opportunity to get involved in the community during school events and with weekend activities for working parents. Beyond that I've seen a positive impact on in my daughters manners, vocabulary, interaction with other kids, etc. I see little mannerisms she has picked up from her teacher that are really sweet, kind and empathetic. They do adorable celebrations for birthdays and an amazing end of school year celebration complete with songs and dance. They have an amazing structure set up for flexibility. We were attracted to MELC by the intentionality of their curriculum - a great mix of structure, Montessori-type play, and emphasis on getting outside. They've been teaching children for 30+ years and it shows.. every aspect of their program is done for a reason. Our experience was everything we hoped for and our son absolutely thrived in the full day (8:45am-3pm) program, with parabolic language and social development. There was also a real community focus, with (optional) events almost every month to get parents and kids together. A best-in-class program operated by best-in-class people.

My toddler has been attending Meadows since she was 10 months old, and we have nothing but good…read morethings to say. The staff and teachers are communicative, kind, and caring. We know that our daughter is always supported and loved, and she has adored her teachers in each of the classrooms she has entered. The school has a good balance of learning and play, and as our child has moved into the toddler wing, there are more and more interactive activities for her to do. The leadership builds community within the families and really loves when they are involved, and they are also communicative about issues/changes to schedules, etc. We have had few problems, but when something comes up, the issue is handled right away. One of the things that we love is the diversity within the school and the celebration of so many different holidays. We get to share some of our traditions and traditions we get to learn about the other students', which is something that we had been looking for in a school. We are so so happy that our child is at Meadows, and we look forward to our continued relationship with her school!

We did that and he qualified for some help. The day we found out he qualified for early intervention we told The Clifton Little School. The very next day we got a letter in his cubby to set up a meeting. The director "J", told me that he was a hazard and that they wanted him out of the school... he wasn't a hazard, he is active and not a robot. She made it sound like my son was a problem child and said he needed a "special school" that can handle him. Meanwhile the daily reports I got from his teacher where all good and positive. We found another school, a nice normal day care that just wants the best for the children in their school, it's the Allwood Play and Learn if anyone what's to know and they get 5 stars from me. The owner is absolutely involved, not just a check writer and she cares about our kids. The Clifton Little School was such a big let down for us, they know how to promote themselves with having Channel 12 News there for their Halloween Parade but what they don't tell anyone is their dirty secret that if your child needs a little extra help they will kick your child out of their school. My child isn't the only one this has happen to. Talking to the director of the school she makes it sound like they have a perfect school, they don't!! Don't take my word for it. I left her there on the first day not knowing anyone and my nerves were through the roof. Once I picked her up that day she was so excited about couldn't wait to go back (she never did that in the other school) When I tell you my daughter learned SO much it actually brings tears to my eyes, her teacher Mrs. Liz is the absolute BEST. The place is filled with friendly teachers & staff, all classrooms & facilities are SPOTLESS & most importantly it felt SAFE.
