Both my husband and I were very interested in enrolling and were pleased with the prompt response to our inquiry about the facility. I went and toured and was told to let them know as soon as possible about my interest. The very next day I emailed with some questions and how to get enrollment started. It's been 2 weeks and countless emails and phone calls from both me and my husband and not a single person has gotten back to us. It is extremely unprofessional and I am beyond angry that it is so difficult to get even a single response. I hate to say it but this alone makes me not want to enroll my child here. How can I justify spending the money on a place that can't even respond to a call or email? read more

ABC's For Children Inc. is a wonderful place for your family and children to grow and develop in the early years of your child's life. We are fortunate to have longevity with our Teachers and Caregivers. Our Nursery has 2 Caregivers who have been caring for babies within our program for the past 30 years. Our Toddler floor's Supervisor has been with our program for the past 3 years and each Toddler teacher has completed either their second year with our program, or they are finishing their first year with our program. They have a great team working together. Our Preschool floor has 2 teachers in our 3 year old classroom that have been with our program for the past 8 years. Our Prekindergarten program is lead by one of our strongest teachers who has been committed to our program for the past 5 years. In addition, our Prekindergarten program has a very dedicated teacher to our program who has been working with us for the past 10 years. Our Private Kindergarten Program is lead by our Teacher who has been with us for the past 10 years as well. She has committed herself to designing our curriculum, educating our teachers, and leading in program development. We are extremely fortunate to have the longevity that is present at ABC's For Children. To watch your children and family grow over the years as we care for the children in our classrooms is an amazing privilege that these teachers do not take lightly. My son has been attending ABCs for children for 3 years now. He started as a baby in the nursery, and is now in preschool. So many of the children in his classes have been in classes with him since nursery, it's so great. He's played with them for years now and has some strong friendships, which is not something I expected for a preschooler. They are great at providing a safe environment, telling us about any booboos, and observe state regulations and guidelines well, especially in the nursery. Out of the schools I visited, they had the highest standards for safety and followed them consistently. For example, in breast milk handling, there were a lot of logical sanitary and safety rules they followed, and I have heard plenty of questions and stories from friends where problems arose from other schools that did not follow these rules. (Sorry that's general but it would take me too long to explain in detail.) ABCs is in a church and overall the facility is something I really like. They have a beautiful outdoor play area with a giant tree that extends its branches over all the littles while they play. I'm sure there are schools out there that are fancier, but to me the school seems well-equipped, thoughtfully organized, and just overall a great and fun environment. The teachers are thoughtful and plan a lot of great activities. He's always coming home having learned things, and his social skills are particularly good. He shares very well, and likes to do it, and I really think he learned this at school. He also imitates his teachers at home, which is hilarious. He tries to make us do circle time with him, pretends to read us books like they do, gives us stickers, or teaches us. It's pretty funny, but also interesting to see what he tries to imitate. ^_^ They've also been doing little picnic lunches outside and sprinkler times in the afternoon. (And my goodness that seems like it'd be a hassle to change so many little kids into swimsuits for an hour and then back out again - but they do it! And he loves it.) They also have classes that will visit like soccer (which we are doing) and dance classes (which we skipped), and they go on some cool field trips, like bowling, museums, strawberry picking, pumpkin patches, etc. One of the things I like most is they send out weekly newsletters with pictures and recaps on everything they've done that week. They also send out biannual reports on development which are amazingly detailed and nice to compare to your own assessments. The teachers are flexible and understanding. If I had to give some constructive feedback, I'd say that there has been some turnover at times that could be a little worrisome, and that sometimes made our lives a little harder as our son adjusted to new teachers. When teachers are new, they are still getting their hands around all their different jobs, so sometimes they don't have the bandwidth to communicate as much at pickup/dropoff, but they get better at this after a ramp-up period. That said, there are still a lot of smart, experienced teachers, and younger teachers with kind and enthusiastic souls. We're also really dogmatic about trying to give our son low sugar food, because diabetes runs in our family, and I would say sometimes the snacks they provide can be a little more sugary than we might like. Still, I know there are probably other kids who are very picky and will only that kind of stuff. Overall, we've been extremely happy with ABCs and would recommend it to a friend. read more

ABC's for Children has been a daycare dream come true for my family. The teachers are absolutely wonderful and full of love for the kids. Our experience at ABCs For Children on Greentree Road that spans the past 7 years has been nothing short or rewarding for our two boys, their mother and me. For the past 7 years our two boys have grown intellectually and socially in ways that have amazed us year after year. In the beginning our boys spent their early lives in the nursery where they were cared for and loved each and every day. The nursery care givers were always so professional, courteous and respectful or our needs and time. We were always so appreciative of how willing they were to cater to whatever requests or needs we had for our children. The care givers were also always so responsible when it came to keeping our children safe and happy; as well as providing us with the detailed daily report of their meals, their sleep and their behavior. As our boys grew into their walking, talking and playing years the teachers were there every step of the way to help them grow and learn. It was always such a joy for their mother and I to hear them tell us about their days at ABCs. We were frequently treated to stories of what they and their friends did at school and what they learned, and sometimes treated to a song that they learned that day. To hear your son at a very young age explain to you things like what the table of contents is or teach you about the planets was truly remarkable and joyful for a parent. I can't say enough good things about all their teachers who were there to help them grow year after year. The teachers, along with the ABCs For Children mission and curriculum made learning fun with a plethora of different activities, games and field trips. Our two sons have had a wonderful experience at ABCs for Children and their development we see today speaks for itself. I recommended ABCs for Children to a colleague in the past who was very pleased with the decision, and I will continue to recommend ABCs for Children to all new parents seeking the best day care center. read more

My son has gone here for 9 months. For as much as we pay and for being a 4 star school, it is not great. The turnover in teachers seems to be about every 3 months. You show up for school one day to a room full of new teachers, like it's nothing. The communication is almost non existing. The school has a lot of potential, but I'm sorry, when I pick my son up I would like for one of the teachers to spend 2 or 3 minutes telling me how his day went and what they did. When you pick up they yell for your child and say bye...when I ask how is day was I get a "he did good" as they walk away. We are in the process of pulling our son out. I'd advise to save your money and try else where. I read reviews before placing him here and turnover was a big thing I read about and did not believe it...nope its true, like I said every 3 months....and they wonder why kids don't want to leave their parents...well maybe it's because of stranger danger. Send a note home and communicate with the families what is going on. I find it very disrespectful. read more

My daughter has been with ABC's for Children Inc since 2005. She started in the Nursery and has gone all the way through the program and is now in School Age. We've had nothing but positive experiences since she started. Each level has an age appropriate educational curriculum with knowledgeable and caring teachers which I believe helped my daughter reach her potential at all of those levels. The teachers keep things new, fun and interesting to keep the children engaged and excited to come back the next day. My daughter wishes I had a job that didn't require me to work in the summer so that she won't have to go ABC's summer camp...BUT now she can't stand the thought of missing a day. I already have the greatest confidence in the program and the teachers but this just solidified that confidence. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ABC's to any family looking for daycare, preschool, before/after school and summer camp. read more
