I generally give hard reviews. You folks are off your leash. Maybe its the competitors making negative posts. I needed a taxi from the car mechanic to my home . 9:00am on a weekday. I called dispatch, they asked me from where to where, quoted a reasonable price. I agreed, they said next available drive would call me. Two minutes later, I got the call from the driver. I wasn't even at the mechanic yet. He said he could be there in 10 minutes. He was there in 8 minutes. The cab wasn't pretty, it wasn't in the best condition. But my responsibility is to keep MY butt clean. I needed a ride. I got great service for a fair price. I went from A to B, then back quickly, no waste of my time. THATS a bargain. read more

I used their service one time. I was released from the hospital and the hospital gave me a voucher for a taxi ride home. ABC was called. I had to wait close to an hour for a ride. When I got in the car and got my walker in they took off and drove awfully fast all the way to my house. I expect people who are common carriers to be especially careful and respectful. WOW, the best rated cab service in Wichita still only is a three star joint. But it gets even better, that rating is WAAAAAY over what they deserve. Poor customer service, wait times long-they tell you "we TRY to get there in 15 to 30 minutes"....my reply of "that's not a pickup time" was met with cold silence by the beauty on the phone who sounded like she's been smoking cigars and drinking bourbon all night. UBER UBER UBER....all these Wichita KS cab services suck beyond belief. Just shockingly ridiculous for a nice town like this to have absolutely bottom level of service in their taxi services. Well, my 30 minutes have come and gone. Wichita is not that big folks. Since taking my ride request, I have packed, checked out of my hotel, written 3 yelp reviews, collaborated with colleagues, had a couple coffees... Folks Uber or rent a car, using ABC taxi is inefficient, ineffective. I will be surprised if they show up at all. SHAME ON YOU FOLKS UPDATE: I have to say, I was wrong, they are not 1 star. The dispatch operator working at 4:00 pm, Sunday, 07/19/2020 is a rude and disrespectful jerk with very poor communication skills. Hopefully she will be put in her place from the Great Reset: unemployed, homeless, and malnourished. The fare was nearly twice the estimate I was given by the driver before we agreed to do business. I'm not sure if he is grossly uninformed, stupid, or just a flat out liar. What I am pretty sure of is that it is simply coincidence that there was fraudulent activity within a week of using ABC Taxi on the credit card I used to pay the fare , a credit card which had never prior, nor ever after, been out of my possession, control, or sight; a credit card which I allowed to be processed for payment by the cabbie as he sat alone in his cab while I stood to the rear of the vehicle, behind the open trunk lid. I'm very nearly sure he didn't record the credit card information to later sell or use himself for the commission of credit card fraud. That would be so obvious! Simply coincidence, I'm sure. Other than that, the're great! They, unfortunately, are the only taxi service staging at ICT (Dwight D. Called again at 2:30 told it was minutes away. Got a call from driver at 2:35. Said he was on the way. Asked him how far. He said 15 minutes. Told him to forget it. I used ABC taxi service a month ago to take me to the airport for a 6am flight. I booked the taxi the evening before for a 4 am pickup. The taxi arrived 30 minutes late. The drivers excuse was he programmed the GPS wrong and went the opposite direction. He did not assist me with my luggage when getting into or out of the cab. The only thing he did was drive slow. After arriving late, to increase the fare. On my return used ABC to take me home. The driver was courteous and the cab was clean. But the fare was higher and the same route was followed both times. Go figure. The quality of taxi service here in wichita is iffy at best. I've used the other two companies and have received less than admirable service with them also. 50% of the time ABC taxis are filthy The drivers rent the cabs I guess they need to clean them which some don't on a regular basis. When I called for service, the dispatcher was quite nice and accommodating. I had my airport ride scheduled within a couple minutes. The next day the cab driver called 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up to confirm I was ready. The driver then pulled into my driveway right at the requested time. Ordered taxi 24 hrs in advance for airport at 5:00am. At 5:05 I called dispatch and they said driver on the way. At 5:30 I woke my son up to take me. On the way to airport the driver called and asked if he was still needed. I said no but thanks for calling to ask. They will rip you off. I asked for a cab to my hotel. They took me to the wrong hotel. Then charged me again to take me to the right hotel. My $14 cab ride cost me almost $30. I complained. The driver blamed me for his dispatcher's mistake and pulled out a taser and pointed it at me, demanding more money. I suggested he call the police if I was such a threat. Based on these prior negative reviews, I was a bit concerned, but there aren't really many options for cab companies in Wichita, so I took a chance. I called ahead, booked a cab for 4:30am for a ride to the airport, and the dispatcher assured me the driver would be there and would call on arrival. 4:25 rolls around, I'm getting my bags down to the lobby of my building, and the driver calls saying he's about to pull up - he got there before I finished getting downstairs! He helped me with my bags, and the drive was quick and safe, and the driver was not chatty, which I appreciated at the crack of dawn. I would recommend them, based on my experience. read more

Terrible, rude service. Booked a taxi to the airport ahead of time for a 5:40 am pickup. At 5:50, hadn't arrived so called to check. Dispatcher told me it was "pulling up." 10 minutes later still hadn't arrived, so called back and was told the same thing. 20 minutes after the scheduled time, called back and was told they were very busy which is why my taxi was late. I complained to the dispatcher and told him I was going to miss my flight, and He hung up on me. I was upset by this, so I called back and spoke to a manager. I used ABC Taxi for the first time today because BEST CABS was horribly delayed in the past. Dispatcher said it would be 30 minutes until cab arrived. It was slightly less time. The cab was meticulously clean like a new car. The driver was friendly. I arrived on time. The trouble started when I called back to return home. The same dispatcher took my call. He was very rude and irritated because I called to be picked up from a different address than where I was dropped off earlier. He yelled, you have to give me the address where we dropped you off or we just won't pick you up. I said, I was dropped off at the Driver License Renewal Office on the east side of Amidon, was finished there in an hour and a half, walked west across Amidon to the Hardee's restaurant, ate breakfast and called for a cab from there. An American Cab showed up to pick me up at Hardee's. Nobody told me that ABC and Amercan Cab is the same company with the same dispatcher for both. Again, the cab was meticulously clean. Only complaint was the driver appeared to be Asian and had been in the United States 30 years but still speaks very broken english which I could hardly understand. Overall my experience with ABC and American was better than BEST CABS but still needs improvements. The dispatcher should be terminated for belligerent conduct towards a customer. Employees need to be reminded that when they represent their employer they must be on their best behavior, helpful, punctual and courteous. Those employees that are substandard should be replaced in the best interest of their employer and patrons. read more

I don't normally post reviews but I have been angered to the point of no return. I use the taxi service a considerable amount and i rarely receive what i would call good service from dispatch. The drivers are great. The overall company is just terrible. So call a cab last night as i am getting off work. I am used to a half hour to an hour wait, no big deal. After TWO hours goes by I call ABC back and am very rudely informed there are no cabs working at that time. No calling me up to relate that. Now this is getting close to bars closing down and people needing alternate transportation and you don't have a single car working? How is this anyway to operate a business? This wasn't my first two hour wait, or the first time I've been told they aren't doing anymore pickups, but I was outraged when told there were no more cabs. Save your time, spend your money elsewhere and call Best Cabs, because ABC is a joke and should be out of business read more

I am from out of town and used this service to get around Wichita while in town on business. When you are relying on taxi service, it has to be reliable, but especially when you need to catch a flight or else the flight could be missed and hotels will need to be rearranged and your kids will have to be explained to why mommy isn't home yet. The drivers are nice but the supervisor at dispatch needs to retire and have an attitude adjustment. I was waiting patiently for what I was advised would be a 1 hour wait until my taxi arrived. I received a one ring call from a Wichita number and I clearly couldn't answer it because it only rang once, with no re-ring. I immediately looked outside to see if I could spot a taxi because I was so paranoid about missing my flight. There was not a taxi. I called dispatch and the woman that I had spoken with before was apparently the supervisor and wouldn't let me speak. She kept talking over me and telling me that it was my fault that I didn't answer the phone in one ring and that I was a no call, no show. Could she send someone else out immediately? NO! I would have to wait at least another hour. I believe I was purposefully dropped from the list because my stop was inconvenient for them. And then she hung up on me. Unfriendly, unreliable, horrible customer service. Rent a car or find transportation elsewhere. I was able to catch my flight with Bill's Rides LLC who were out in 20 minutes and I'm happy to report that my kids don't have to go without their mother for an extra night because of a mean lady at the taxi company. read more

I called for a taxi from my motel to a store and back at 4:37 p.m. and given an eta of 1 hr. At 6:37 I called and asked why the delay. Several excuses were given but this time no eta. I'm sorry but Wichita is immensely smaller than Houston, Tx or New York, NY and I've never waited for a taxi for more than 30 min ANYWHERE but in Wichita. They don't even deserve one star. My wife that is pregnant had to wait latterly 2 hrs and 13 min to get picked up at wall mart and go to are house witch is literally 7 minutes away. Called the night in advance to arrange a taxi to pick me up at 4:45 AM for a 6 o'clock flight. The next morning no taxi arrives and when I called dispatch they inform me that there are no taxis on the way and they cannot confirm when a taxi could pick me up. Quickly I opened up Uber and barely made my flight. While boarding my plane at 6 o'clock the taxi company finally called to let me know a taxi was on its way. Called a week in advance for a drive to the airport (obviously time was of the essence) Taxi didn't show up at the time we requested, didn't even receive a call or warning or anything. When I called, the cab supposedly "had technical issues getting to my place" they said another cab would show up. Almost ONE HOUR later than originally scheduled, new cab calls and says they were 15 minutes away from my place.
