It took them nearly two weeks to come out to check the damage, they estimated around $500 for the repair, then over a week later still had not gotten back to me to schedule. I called multiple times to follow up and they essentially told me that I was not a priority to them due to roof damage that had occurred in subsequent storms at other properties, but that they would come out and do the repair for double the initial quote. In a time where we are all struggling, it is sad to see a "family owned business" effectively price-gouging their paying customers. They are simply understaffed, overextended, and do not care about you as a customer in the long term.

The on-site supervisor mentioned the need for replacement boards, but as a professional contractor, the company should have clearly communicated any extra costs prior to proceeding. The lack of transparency and communication was disappointing, and I expected better accountability for a project of this size and cost.

After asking a friend for suggestions who really got hit in Lake Village IN, she suggested Discount Roofing so we set up an estimate with them. Mr. Alec arrived and did a thorough inspection. Found many imperfections due to the strong wind and hail damage that came with the Tornado. He explained everything in full detail. After I approved their service and obtained a check from my insurance company. My insurance made it complicated for me to cash the check as they wanted my mortgager to endorse it as-well by having me send check to them in California and wait who knows how long for it to get done. I informed of situation to Alec of Discount Roofing. He immediately took responsibility and said they will take care of it. He did take care of it because within 2 weeks I had worker putting on a new roof, siding and fix some interior imperfections caused by the Tornado. Forgot to mention that they use high quality material and offer lifetime warranty aswell. In addition they add tarp on the ground to catch all garbage and nails that may fly off roof. I had been collaborating with Frank Dixon regarding the roof replacement issues. I inquired whether Frank's company also handled porch work. Frank played a crucial role in organizing everything. On 5/22/2025 Manny and Julian arrived slightly before 8:30 AM. They informed me of their arrival at my residence. Manny and Julian took measurements for the materials, letting me know they would head to the store and return. They came back in about an hour. I am extremely pleased with the porch replacement. Additionally, I truly appreciated their professionalism and the respect they showed for my property during the construction process.
