ABC pediatrics billing tries to charge you 3 times, and claims it was denied the first two. I had to cuss out an employee who transferred me to a manager before I could finish telling her how much I despise lairs and thieves, whom I very rudely implied was a either mentally challenged or was lying because I was looking at my account as I was talking to her and could very clearly see what they had charged me. I then called my bank who confirmed they were lying and had transferred the first two charges back into my account as I was speaking to my bank. Horrible horrible first impression !!! They need to give a class on good customer service to their front desk. I guess it must be against their practice to accept new infant patients by the looks of all the negative reviews here. Even with a PPO!!! Oh, but the lady made it clear you better not have Medicaid cause "they're not accepting those patients", wow! I was recommended by the Emergency room doctor to Dr. Batish, spoke so highly of her I was so excited to start my kids with her since we just moved here from San Diego. Rudest representative that answered the phone, she has such impulsiveness to get out what she had to say she would cut keep cutting me off. Even when I informed her I had previous providers record in hand she informed me nope they had to get the records themselves. What a horrible experience to deal with ppl like that. read more

Dr. Oo is AMAZING!! He remembers our kids names, everything about them and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does and he loves kids. We have complete confidence in him. He goes out of his way to care for them. He calls to check up on them, making sure prescriptions are at the pharmacy when we need them, working with our child's specialist in Chicago, etc.). We have also seen the other drs on occasion (Dr. Kim, Dr. Garcia and Dr. Batish) and they are just as friendly. Dr Garcia is a sweetheart. We just moved to Bourbonnais and my kids got sick. Though office wanted med records first to see them on regular bases since my youngest was only 6 month old they made an appointment to see her. Doctor seemed nice and knowledgeable. Nurses were very friendly. We felt comfortable there. The only thing that threw me off at first was kinda rude receptionist. But we decided to see past that and still check out doctors and staff. read more

This practice is unwilling to see babies from out of town. No problem. But when I asked for advice on where to bring my sick infant, the receptionist replied, "you'll have to look online" before hanging up. read more

Rude receptionist. My family just moved here from out of state and my one year old needed her vaccines. We went to the office to get her an appointment and they refused to see her as a cash patient because we didn't know what insurance we were going to get for her. Horrible first impression and even if I got insurance for her that they take I would NOT go there. They need better office staff. read more

They are very busy, and through the years have found ourselves disappointed with the outcome of our visits. It seems our needs were not met, especially as your child gets older. They seem to be better working with infants through about age 10, but after that age, they seem less adequate to meet our needs. Sometimes we were not sure a prescription was called in. Once it wasn't and luckily the Pharmacy was able to get it just before the office closed. Other times the prescription did not seem to work, or my child was told to try yoga, to help with various issues. read more

We are fortunate to have many good pediatricians in Kankakee County. You will do your children well by going to any of them, in my opinion. Personal reasons aside -- and as a disclaimer I am the spouse of one of the owners -- there are many good reasons to take your kids to ABC Pediatrics. 1. It is the largest and busiest practice in the area, with four physicians and no nurse practitioners or physician assistants. If you make an appointment, you see a board-certified pediatrician. 2. They have good office hours, including every Saturday morning. And if your kid really needs to be seen that day, you may have to wait a little while, but s/he WILL be seen and not put off until tomorrow. 3. The doctors take a team approach to their practice. If one doctor is off when you need an appointment, another is ready to step in. 4. ABC is independent of the two local hospitals and physician-owned. In an era where physicians are selling their practices to soulless corporations and becoming mere employees, the doctors have committed to remaining independent and to putting patients first. I know all the pediatricians in town. Many are my friends. I truly think your children will be well served by any of them. But I also know that you won't go wrong by sending your children to see Drs. Kim, Oo, Batish, or Garcia. They are loving and caring doctors who will go the extra mile to ensure the well being of your most precious resources: your children. read more
