James services our home and always does a great job, explaining what we need to do to help keep our garage door in working order. He has been servicing us in Southwest Houston for many, many years and we consider him not only a vendor, yet a friend. Also Rick Enk is always helpful when we call in and both care a lot to make sure we are taken care of. One time during COVID, our garage door opener snapped and it took a couple of days to get parts, yet Rick drove over to our house, to help us open the door manually and get our cars out. I've been using ABC Doors (pls note Not ABC Garage Door)repeatedly for years and every time they have under bid every other garage door company and have gone over and above service every time. We do I bother calling anyone else, you might ask. Because people will ignorantly recommend someone else. However, ABC Door always fix my issue and then throw in a regular maintenance for free, that's along with adjusting and/replacing bad rollers. I've been told that the whole garage door needed to be replaced because it was about to cave in. However their flat rate trip charge (about $100 back then) fixed the issue and fifteen years later, nothing has "caved in". I just got both old springs replaced by them that everyone else said would be about $1000 to replace one spring. Instead ABC Doors did both old springs for about $250. Yes, that's right. A fourth of my original quote for one spring. And my door was adjust (I have foundation issues) to where it shuts quietly instead of slamming or jerking while going up. I think the flat rate charge has gone up $20-30 in the fifteen years I've been using them but every time I've had them out, it's years (about 2-4 years)before I needed them to come back for a different issue. All employees are respectful and have a customer service attitude that is impossible to be beaten. Last time, they were too backed up and could not get me on the schedule until the next day. However knowing that I was stuck because I couldn't get my car out. They squeeze me in as soon as there was a cancellation. So if you have a garage door issue, take it from a person who has foundation issues and has had the multiple outrageous quote from garage door scammers, call ABC Doors. I promise you will be will taken care of with both respect and honor. read more

I called ABC doors after several technicians wanted to replace both garage doors. Nelson was the technician that arrived. This technician is very knowledgeable about garage doors. He fixed several issues at a Very reasonable price. Overheard door on Main Street wanted 2,000 dollars to replace the doors. I need to stop listening to that talk radio show with Tom T. I just got off the phone with Larry at ABC Doors. I could not figure out how to re-engage my garage door emergency pull handle. After talking with me, he asked that I send him some pictures. He quickly called me back and told me exactly what needed to be done. It save me an expensive trip charge and my garage door now works perfectly. We had our initial work done by ABC doors over a year ago. Rick came out and replaced our gate opener with a new arm and replaced the circuit board. Initially I was delighted with the work as the gate had never worked better. About 6 months later, the gate suddenly stopped working again. It took several days to get Rick out to the house and he kept having to come back. Each time he left, the gate was still inoperable. Finally, one day Rick was unavailable so Nelson came to take a look. Come to find out, we had the wrong circuit board installed which was burning the system out. The circuit board was replaced (or so we were told) and the battery. Nelson had to return the next day because a vital component of the circuit board was completely missing. 20 days later, the gate is not working again. I have done some of my own research and have figured out that they only installed one of the two required batteries. We called them and they are in no rush to fix their mistake, yet again!! Needless to say, after 10 plus visits from ABC Doors, I will not be returning to them for our next repairs. Their customer service is horrid and the work they perform is substandard. read more

Had used ABC Doors for a number of repairs over the years, but now can't even get them to return a phone call. After calling twice over the past two weeks to get a quote on a new garage door opener and some needed repairs on an iron gate and never even getting a return phone call I went with another company. Nelson, our service person from ABC Doors, was so impressive that my husband and I both commented we'd highly value and cherish him as an employee if this were our own company. Not only was he punctual and polite, he was very knowledgable and efficient and seemed to effortlessly fix our broken garage door, and with such a pleasant, engaging attitude. He was very patient and took time to properly link both my husband's and my cars to the new controls (since I had forgotten how). He stayed until we had everything working as we wanted. He truly made us feel valued as customers, not just work orders to check off his list in his day. I can't remember the last time we were this impressed. His professionalism, knowledge, patience, affability, and kindness were exemplary. He certainly rates 10 stars in the world of customer service. read more

I called for an install, and got an appointment scheduled quickly. The installation was done quickly. There was a malfunction with my door opener. It happened on the weekend, so I left a message. Early on Monday morning I received a call, and within fifteen minutes, someone was there to fix the problem. I called regarding a door and the guy was really rude because I did not understand the door terminology or whatever, then he proceeded to get frustrated because I did not understand his lingo, and said, "that's much better" when I replied "thanks for your time" this just shows how much time he will actually put into a customer. read more

If I could rate lower I would, I called this company for my business needs and all the technician could say was "please don't take this wrong but I am not even going to waste my time to even come look at what you have we are super busy and you can go ahead and let one of the other companies you called help you" NEVER have I received such horrible service or advice to allow another competitor handle my situation. This company obviously doesn't take care of their customers! If you are a business DEFINATELY call around before calling this place if you want GOOD help. read more
