A year later, two days ago, I brought her in and the staff fussed over her. Today I came in with Josie and a guy behind the counter scowled at us. They had a dog sitting on the counter. The scowling guy said the dog did not like other animals. He also told me I couldn't bring her to the back, where they had been so nice to her the day before, and the coffee drinks and bagels were prepared. We went next door to buy my café mocha. So, Island Mart confuses me. They are either very dog friendly or not. Depends on the day of the week?

They carry basically everything you'd expect to find at a liquor store, including lots of ready made cans, minis, pints, 750s and handles. One nice find was they had quite a few flavored vodka and whiskey minis for only 99 cents. Prices are competitive, but as expected, they are a bit higher than Total Wine, Sam's Club, and Costco in Myrtle Beach. One nice thing is they charge the same price whether you pay cash or use a credit card. Check out their website as they do list free tastings there. Plenty of free parking out front. Note: this is one location in a small chain all owned by the same owner. They have locations in Longs, Myrtle Beach, Florence and a couple others too. When I went to check out I did not have a Lowe's saving card and so each time the employees promptly type a code in so I could still receive the savings. The part that I really enjoyed about shopping at Lowe's is that they have a really fun and vibrant bakery area.

It's super well organized, with everything easy to find, and if I have questions, they're always answered by someone that is friendly. The staff here is quite knowledgeable and definitely helpful. Nice selection of full size bottles, minis and small bottles as well and they sometimes have the rare goodies too, so I'd definitely recommend stopping in. No beer here, but they do have pre-mixed ready to drink cans, etc. Prices are regulated by the state and they run the same sales that all the other NC ABC stores run. No public restroom.
