The environment successfully mimics the atmosphere of a bar, you are held to a high standard and are expected to perform all of your duties, but the character of instructors like Mark and Rick do a really good job of putting you at ease and getting you to feel comfortable. I took this class because i am opening a new Italian restaurant in Sunset place called Il Vaporetto, the restaurant has a full bar. The short 2 week course was the most helpful thing I could have done. Not only did i learn all i needed to know for the restaurant but also deep knowledge of products. I originally took the class for fun thinking it would be a cool thing to do before the summer ended, but it is really an educational program in which it requires you to study and put in all of your effort, which I really appreciate. ABC is not at all about taking your money, I went in to get a look at the school before I signed my name to anything and I felt so comfortable. Mark is such an amazing teacher, he treats his students like friends and really believes in our potential as future bartenders. He wants us to be the best we can since we ultimately will be representing ABC in the future. We are able to go back and practice or retake the class for free if we don't pass the exam, proof they're not about the money. If they were, they were purposely make you fail and have you pay to retake the class. I absolutely loved my time there, their connections with jobs and events is definitely a plus as well.
