I had to sign up foe Yelps so that I could comment on Linda Nguyen and State Farm. I came to…read moreLinda's agency when I moved to Houston in 2016. Mostly because as a Vietnamese I always try to find chances to support our people's businesses whenever I came. I have to say it was the best choice I made. The entire office was so nice and professional, that include Linda and her brother, Peter, and Edith. For all the time I was with them, I always had the best quotes and best care. It feels like a family rather than an insurance company where we have to be vigilant and often get ripped off. I also want to compliment State Farm for the same reason. They reached out to me when I had a small fender bender and didn't pay attention to the accident besides my safety. They took care of everything so professionally and fast that I couldn't believe it. I moved around a little bit in town, and whenever I reported the new addresses, they would cut me a check for deduction if that place is a bit cheaper. That's so moving! Now I have permanently relocated to Pearland, I had to leave Linda Nguyen and State Farm for a local agency and a different company with regrets. Simply because State Farm doesn't really cover home insurance in Pearland and I wanted to bundle everything under one company for good reasons. And even when the new company neglected to send the cancellation to them, Edith at Linda Nguyen graciously helped me get the full refund with no question asked. My wife and I still feel bad that we left them and they were still so kind and caring to us. Thanks Linda, Peter, Edith, and the people working there for State Farm. You guys are amazing! Working with Shannon Hartgrove was one of the worst insurance experiences I've ever had…read more She quoted and bound our home insurance using the WRONG ADDRESS, which we did not discover until after paperwork was signed. This mistake cost us hundreds of dollars and created completely avoidable stress during an already high-stakes process. What made this situation even worse was her behavior before and after the error. She repeatedly talked over me, dismissed my concerns, and failed to listen when I tried to clarify details--details that would have prevented this mistake in the first place. When I finally called her out on the error, she took zero responsibility. Instead of owning the mistake or offering a solution, she became defensive and unprofessional, telling me "this is my agency, I own this, and you can't escalate to management." That response alone speaks volumes about her accountability and customer service standards. If you value: * Accuracy * Professionalism * Being listened to * An agent who takes responsibility for their mistakes Do not use this broker. A basic error like an incorrect address should never happen, and the refusal to own it afterward is unacceptable

I've worked for an agency that had…read morethis company as a client and I'm familiar with their "customer service" however, I did want to mention the audacity of an employee here who drives the bright yellow car with "Amtex Insurance" plastered on it who took up two parking spots in front of said business. Selfish yes, in just being too lazy to re-adjust but this also takes a spot from patrons of actual great businesses in this center. Like Peru Gourmet! (Anyone hungry? Stop by for amazing food and even more amazing people.) Also, odd to find an insurance company who does actually offer AUTO INSURANCE would have that driver as a representation of their company.

Next month is the annual renewal. I was unable to set up monthly billing through their website so I called them this morning. The first call entered me in a loop of transferring. At one point I was told by the automated system to call back during regular business hours. it was 9:30 am cst. Second call started me in sales department, I explained what I needed and the person didn't know if that could be done, she needed to transfer me to service. I explained to service the situation and they said it could be done, but ththey had to transfer me to sales. The next person said it could not be done. Out of frustration I told them to cancel my membership. since I had paid in full almost a year ago, there would be a refund due for the unused portion. They were unable to tell me how much the refund was and where it would be issued. They said it would go to the card I paid with a year ago and no one in their company knew that card number or even the last 4 digits. I was told someone would call me back. When I received the call back, the person started from scratch and said she understood I wanted to cancel and she co help me with that. I explained that was handled by the previous person and my question was about the refund. She spoke over me several times. she was no help. I told her that call was a waste of time. she said she would put in a complaint for me and get me a call back. I said oh please no. Told her I'd do my own complaint on yelp. I can ima how much money this company spends to attract new customers. Sadly that is a waste if you are not going to provide decent customer service. former 6 year member
