Great Christmas gift shop…read more I should not have taken my wife in. People are great and they have some good sales.

Absolutely gorgeous artwork can be found in this Russian centric Christmas shop. From stackable…read moredolls to ornate statues and hand painted bulbs and the list goes on and on. My only gripe about this business is the price which seems quite high and clearly is going after the visiting tourists. I am not an expert on price when it comes to this type of work but I clearly recognize beauty and craftsmanship when I see it and the merchandise they sell at this business oozes it! This is a must visit if you are a collector of fine Christmas ornamates and if you can afford it you will find yourself in Nirvana (:

Unlike most other port gift/souvenir shops tied to the cruise industry, which I found out are owned by Royal Caribbean and what they offer are almost all, if not all "Made in China" gift/souvenirs. The shop is very nice, obviously able to handle the sudden volume coming off the ships. They have everything you could want Alaska, from knives to clothes to mammoth jewelry to magnets. Unfortunately my wife thought they had another store at Ketchikan which they did not. She's kicking herself yet I'm smiling happily inside bc of my money wallet! Aw joking... They do have helpful customer service as wifey expressed. We don't remember if they did in Hoonah just bc our goal there was not shopping! My bad. Oops! I got to relax outside this Brenner store drinking my coffee so wifey can take her time shopping. I was in my own heaven nonetheless! LOLOLOL Too bad we might have to travel to Alaska again in the future just to fulfill my wifey's shopping needs! I just have to remind her Sitka & Hoonah(icy strait point) ONLY!!! Now Go Shopping to your heart's delight as they have more than just fine clothing like nice gifts for friends & family. . I think wifey was not supposed to take pictures here. What? Oopsie.

I enjoyed the exceptionally friendly service and the helpful staff. Seems like everyone working there was indeed happy to be there. The one constructive piece of criticism I would give would be in reference to the fitting rooms. The doors are saloon style, don't really close securely and are right off the main store floor. So, there really isn't a sense of privacy, and I felt like anyone shopping who might happen to look in just the right direction might actually be able to see me in the changing room if they wanted. Other than that, it's a great little shop with a large variety of unique and local clothing and wares. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them all your time and money.
