The bed is comfortable with even more comfortable pillows. The TV has more channels than any hotel I have stayed at before and has a TV guide. Free wifi and many outlets to use for whatever. The steel caught the tires in its grooves and guided my car. I wondered if anyone would be at the border crossing, but it was staffed and I was waved through quickly. Ogdensburg has a motel, perhaps a walmart, some fast food restaurants, but at first I didn't think it had a hotel. I was driving slow in the dark not wanting to hit deer and, then, I even saw some deer. And just then, on the southern outskirts of Ogdensburg I saw the Stonefence resort and motel. It was about 10PM and no one was at the front desk, but there was a phone on the side of the wall and after picking up the receiver, it didn't take long for the owner came driving in. The motel was great - drive up right outside your door. With windows open on two sides of the room, a breeze comes through. It is a very comfortable bed, good wifi, good shower, good climate control. The back door and window looked down to the river. I mostly skip hotel breakfasts but I had the free one her:, made to order - fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes, hot and cooked just right by a friendly member of the staff. The staff people are very helpful. I was moved on, but there is a nice boardwalk-type place on the water, with chairs under a gazebo. There are many, many kinds of rooms. I felt blessed and lucky to have not had to push on 45 miles in the dark toward watertown.

A pro or con is the no children in parts of the Inn, not sure if in all parts. Strict no smoking in no smoking rooms (not sure if smoking rooms exist as we are not smokers). Beyond the deck are terraced gardens down to the water's edge. In the morning a generous continental breakfast is included.
