Take your business elsewhere! I'm a professional painter who has worked in the commercial printing and retouching industry for 45 years. I have never had a vendor treat me so poorly in my entire career. I brought a painting to be scanned and proofed ( something I've done routinely for decades) when I asked for minor color corrections ( which I was willing to pay for) he refused. HE REFUSED TO COLOR CORRECT HIS SCAN. Dumbfounded I told exactly how to do and he told me to take my business elsewhere. He called me arrogant for even asking to make color adjustments. I couldn't wait to praise Abbot Art! Just brought my beautifully framed painting home today and it is BEYOND better than my expectations! First I had brought my painting to Michaels because they email offered me 65% + 25% off. I spent a good hour there, not only was there no one qualified enough to help me find the ideal frame but even with the discount, the price was ridiculously high. Next I went to TWO local frame stores,again spent much time, both too expensive and nothing they suggested wowed me. Thanks to google search, I saw Abbot Art was nearby too so I popped in. I'm not exaggerating but in under 5 minutes, Rashid who I think may be the owner. brought out the most beautiful moulding that worked beautifully with my painting! Out of every one that saw my painting, he was the first to notice that it needed some fixing to make it flatter and he didn't charge for that. His price was Very reasonable and his expertise was SO valuable to me! My eye just could NOT find the perfect complimentary frame and he was amazing! professional, polite and efficient! I was there on sunday late, and my painting was ready tues am. So quick! wrapped up perfectly. Such a wonderful experience. So many reasons I love this place: 1 - The quality of the prints and framing are so high. When I have items delivered I know they are so well protected, I feel Rashid treats my work with such respect. It's so important as an artist to feel this way. I know when it arrives at the door of it's new owner it will be pristine. 2 -The prompt and kind service I have received at Abbot Art has been a pleasure, so refreshing after so many negative interactions with obnoxious businessmen and women. He is truly a good person, and times when i've had trouble paying a bill and had to wait, he was always extremely patient and never ever rude. I don't think that word is even in his vocabulary. 3 - The pricing of the prints and frames are great and I never feel I am being overcharged or taken advantage of. 4 - Rashid has a great eye for frames. He makes an art out of it too, and I can tell he really loves it. This is great for me as I am not so great at picking out the right frame. I trust his eye fully!
