Update on my review:
Since my last review of last year, things have just gotten worst.
-The water for the past month has been brown. Abbey lane sent out an email saying to let the water run. They also send an email out yearly, right before winter, to let the water run to avoid freezing pipes. Who pays for the water? The residents.
-The pool was emptied back in the beginning of April, for a deep clean. It was scheduled to open for memorial weekend. It opened on the Thursday of memorial weekend but quickly closed that Friday of memorial weekend due to "cracks". Its now June 17th and yet the pool is still closed. We are still paying for the pool fees. We pay pool fees year round.
In my building, for the past year, there has been fire alarms going off every 1-3 months, at night! The leasing office sends out an email every time that they are investigating the fire alarms and will have someone come to avoid this from happening again. Its been over a year since this issue started. I remember seeing this issue with the building across from mine.
-People smoke marijuana in the stairwells. So it constantly smells like marijuana in the building even though abbey lane has smoking areas outside.
- abbey lane, starting June 1st 2022, has enforced all residents to pay $75 for a blast wifi. I was paying 74.88 so it didnt make much of a difference. They sent out an email notifying all residents of the change since April. It was actually suppose to begin in May but im not sure what happened. When I called them to see if I needed to take any action, they said no because it will merge automatically and that they handled that. June 1st, rent was due, meaning the fee for the comcast Xfinity wifi was due. June 1st, comcast xfinity still charged me. So i paid $74.88 to comcast, and suppose to pay abbey lane an additional $75. I called the leasing office and they said that Xfinity should have not charged me and to call them so i can get a full refund. Xfinity only refunded me $27 due to the "disruption in services" and told me to fix it with abbey lane. Abbey lane said they can only give me a $30 refund. I still owe them $19 and they will not waive that. I will be paying an extra $19 this month for something abbey lane enforced on all residents, and for their mistake on not merging the accounts on time. How is that fair? Natasha has repeatedly told me she cant do anything else. So im forced to pay that extra $19 this month. If you look at other reviews on the internet, other residents are having this same issue. Also, the new wifi sucks.
- i have to constantly be calling the leasing office to see when maintenance will be coming to fix an issue. As i have stated in my previous reviews, every material here is cheap and maintenance sort of just puts band aids over the issue.
I truly can say though that its not actually maintenance or those in the leasing office, it truly is the actual owners of abbey lane who make the workers here limit the help towards the residents. Ruth, the now manager, is very sweet and i know she tries her hardest, but she isnt the actual owner of Abbey lane. The actual owners are extremely money hungry and do not put back into the residents or the property. We still have security, and that's probably why our fees went up even more, due to so much disturbances through out the last couple of years. It truly is sad to see how such a beautiful place has been ruined. And I can't express enough that this is a direct reflection of the actual greedy owners and the bosses of those in the leasing office.
Save your money, and look else where. Or at least be prepared to pay over 3K a month for all these disturbances and unfortunate events. read more
