A part of me thought that it may have been closed, but that turned out not the be the case, so I wandered inside. The first thing that struck me was how cool the bartender was, and the second was that they had a pretty awesome, and quite large, beer garden out the back with some really nice and comfortable couches. Actually, the pub itself had some really nice quite places for me to sit, so I'd have to say that I did quite like it.

We shared the table of an american couple we met in the line up whilst waiting to order. Although it took a while to order it didnt take long for our meal to arrive, I had the chicken schnitzel and although rather large (with I thought too many chips) was absolutley beautiful and quite inexpensive. Dispite the amount of people there we didn't have to wait long at the bar. All the staff were rushed off their feet all night but this didn't seem to effect the service. After dinner we listened to a reggae band "Ragga Jump" who were great. The recent renovations at the tavern are great and I know I'll be returning quite frequently.

Sometimes country pubs can be a little intimidating, but I certainly didn't find it the case with this place. In fact, I found the atmosphere to be quite welcoming and rather friendly. We had continental breakfast, which allowed us to eat all the cold things, like some selected pastries, cereal, and it also included toast. The location was excellent, being only a few minutes away from shops and the beach. The pool was very nice and big. The hotel overall had lots of things going on the keep you entertained. Overall, this stay was extremely pleasant. I am DEFINITELY going to be coming back to Yamba and staying at the Angourie Rainforest Resort.

We enjoyed sitting outside in a small private area. We really loved the feel of the apartment - it was new, bright, modern and well designed with high quality furnishings and fittings. This is a terrific option for a Yamba stay if you have your own wheels!

So if you forget the step is there, you're at risk for cutting your foot open (which happened to one of us). They offer standard toiletries and it's a close walk to one of the best pubs in Yamba.
