Andrea Purvis 2 reviews…read more just now NEW Early January the strong winds unfortunately blew our 6ft wood fence over. I had called several companies for bids to solely replace/repair our posts (as we have 3 dogs) a solid fence is a given necessity. Casey came out and was absolutely lovely. He was punctual, informative, and all around a very personable guy. We ended up going with Casey because I truly felt that he cared about our situation in securing our fence for our pups. He wasn't concerned about up-selling or making more money. He cared about what we needed. He kept me informed every week of any updates that I needed to be aware of. Once he told me the start date I was so excited! His crew showed up promptly on time, were so polite and respectful of my home, and were also personable as all get out. I don't know about you guys, but I love working with people that actually love their jobs, their coworkers, and take pride in their work. I had the pleasure today to work with Casey, Patrick, and Axel. I couldn't even make up a bad thing to say. They were all perfect, kind, just truly lovely. Our project Im sure wasn't the largest, but they made me feel like it was with the care they took completing it. They walked me through everything they did, showed me how secure it was, and cleaned up like nothing ever happened. We will certainly be using them moving forward always. If anyone needs a fence, or a fence fix. Select Fencing, your only solution. Thank you guys!!

I chose Select Fencing based on their positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience has not…read morematched that. Early in the process, they removed a gate I had specifically asked to keep. I let it go at the time, but in hindsight it reflects a lack of attention to detail on the initial installation. I wish I had paid closer attention at the time of install. While the fence looked great at first, multiple issues have come up within six months. There are nails protruding through several areas, some boards were never properly attached, and both gates have repeatedly failed to function correctly--we often have to force them open just to get in and out of the yard. A wooden topper has also come loose and is now flapping in the wind. To their credit, they did respond to my initial concerns, but new problems continue to surface. Taken together, this raises concerns about the overall quality and durability of the work. I would recommend thoroughly inspecting the installation before considering the job complete.

Call the Fence Doctor in St. Louis today, you won't regret it! We were referred to him by our…read morefriend Debbie and are happy to refer him to our friends and to you. We just moved into our first house and knew one of the first things we had to do was replace this rickety old fence. It looked so horrible and since we live near a major intersection in Affton, it was embarrassing for the whole neighborhood. The Fence Doctor, Michael Scott, came out and gave us a quote and it was less than half the major fence folks in town charge AND using the same materials. We chose vinyl but he also gave us a quote for wood. He does all types of fences and will help you stay in budget. Since it's March, we had to keep an eye on the weather and work around it and Mike kept the lines of communication open. They were here and working as soon as the weather allowed. Our fence was installed within just over a week of closing on our house. We got about 100 foot of fence put in and they came one day to tear out the old fence and came back the next day to put in the new. That was it. Shocking how quickly such a high quality fence went in. The gentlemen that came out and did the work, Jeremy & Clay, were absolutely professional and thoughtful and best of all they totally cleaned up after themselves. I mean every single thing is gone and every hole is filled in and it's like they weren't even here. You hear stories about contractors but the only stories you will hear from us is how charming they were. Small businesses like the Fence Doctor thrive on word-of-mouth so I will be telling everyone to trust them to get your job done beautifully. The photos tell the real story. Thanks Fence Doctor!

STAY AWAY!!!! CROOK! These people that are leaving the reviews are not lying and I can't believe he…read morehas the audacity to call them names after stealing money from them. Check Casenet, the BBB and maybe even google "Dan Cahill- traffic accident" to see what kind of man this is. You do not want to be doing business with him or his partner, Cliff Cooke. We paid Airport Fence $2000 as a down payment for a deck that was never started. After numerous attempts to get our money back, we took him to court and was granted the judgement. Not exactly what most people would deem "fake news" Hey Dan! When are we going to see refund that you've promised to quite a few people including the Attorney General? Do yourself a huuuuuuge favor and do not go with any company that has the name - Dan Cahill associated with it.

Below is a portion of my post from 2018 that yelp decided to "not recommend" - thanks yelp…read more An update to my previous post: he never showed up to court, I wasted more of my time and money. Updating this is pointless, for me anyway, but hopefully this will help the next person reading this. So, to summarize: Learn from my mistakes, don't be a dummy (like me!) and hire Dan Cahil, you'll be sorely disappointed...and out $10,000 (yes, $10K). 9/20/2018 My name is Justin Gilbert and I live in Overland, MO. Dan and a crew came out and put up a fence in my yard. I asked him if we could do a walkthrough/inspection of the finished job and he said that would be fine; I had to leave for class and once I left Dan asked my wife for the rest of the payment and left, never did an inspection with her. I looked over the fence after I got home and found many problems with the fence: - the nails used were too long or too short, there are nails sticking out and running all the way through throughout my fence. a few of the boards only had nails at the top of the fence, they just left the bottom blowing in the wind. - a section of my fence bowed out, cracked, and even pushed the nails out leaving that section unattached and just leaning in my driveway. - I had to pick up countless cigarettes all around my yard and they left pieces of the fence in my driveway after they cut it. - I called Dan to come out and look, he did do that after a few tries, and I asked if he could finish nailing in the boards, fix the bowed section, and change out the fence door handles he installed - they're cheap and difficult to get in and out of the fence if you have anything in your hand. Dan agreed to fix all the problems and we set a date for him to come out - he never showed. - I have e-mailed, texted, and called the numbers I had for Dan, and he would ignore my calls, or text me and say he'd call back because he was busy (never called back), or we would agree on a date to get everything fixed and he'd never show, again. - I have tried to work this out for over a year now, because I understand things come up, schedules change, or the weather was terrible, but it is clear that my efforts are futile and that I am forced to deal with these issues on a legal platform. - I have now created a folder full of pictures of the fence, screenshots of our texts, saved e-mails, and even added our call log. I made sure to save everything from day 1 just in case something like this happened. - Dan and/or his crew was also taking my "clean fill dirt" and selling it to my neighbor. My neighbor told me he paid for my "clean fill dirt" and came home to a pile of dirt that was filled with rocks and cement. I don't know the legalities pertaining to this situation, but I don't think that it is legal to sell anything taken from my yard (maybe I'm wrong, but I'll find out soon enough). Dan was polite, professional, punctual, and easy to work with at the beginning of this process. But that all went out the window once he "finished" installing my fence and collected the rest of the money.
