First he said they had one box and then he stated they're only available online. I said" How many are available online" and he said "Oh God". He was static for at least twenty seconds, then he stated we have PMC ammo 'dude'. He then said 'I'm telling you'. I said "You're not telling me anything "sonny" and he hung up. *Addendum Actually, I was calling for Federal ammunition 'not' PRC. A1 Trash was advertising on Ammoseek and stating they had 18 boxes in stock. However, upon calling the belligerent person said "We can order it for you from someone else": 'We don't have any in store'. Then he said you can order it online. 'He said "We have PRC dude". When I questioned him further he became irate and again was belligerent. In fact, we conduct business all the time with numerous retailers and have never heard of A1 Tactical (TRASH). We'll remember these people and advise everyone not to purchase from them. These people are shysters trying to defraud others. Purchase at your 'own risk'. They do have a large selection of boats (bass, pontoon, runabout), and a good selection of outdoor gear for hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, etc. Some items seemed reasonably priced but many appeared fairly expensive, especially the clothing. It's dark inside for a retail store, making it hard to see the merchandise in some parts of the store. They have a smaller second floor with a balcony view over the lower level. The wildlife display, large fish tank and waterfalls in the middle of the store are very cool. You should expect to be approached by employees trying to sell you vacation packages, which is a little annoying when you're just trying to shop. They weren't very busy during my visit, and only had six customers at the two open registers, but it still took a long time to checkout. It's an interesting store to visit or shop if you're looking for something specific, but I probably wouldn't shop there regularly.

I asked him, while he was sat on a stool drinking his coffee, where this specific model was. He pointed to a display case across from him and said go look there. I checked but could not find the model, while Slim sat on the stool, holding an AR and talking to a guy about suppressors. Enter Russ. He was a pleasure to deal with. He checked the display case but could not find the model. He then checked the back room, twice and finally found the model I wanted. Every thing else about the purchase process was a breeze. Russ was very diligent and professional. He took his time to insure this was the handgun I wanted. Due to Russ and not Slim, I will purchase from Smoky Mountain Guns in the future.

No problem. I appreciated his advice. Then he got angry and started shouting at me for shooting without looking through the scope . I misunderstood him because it was loud. He started really barking at me then. I got pissed, but not as pissed as he was. I went up to him later and calmly tried to explain that I just didn't understand what he was saying. I tried explaining that I had been here before and I saw people doing what I had done, which is why I thought it was acceptable. He actually said "I don't give two shits about what you saw before". He's the textbook definition of somebody who will eventually go postal. I'd look for another place to shoot.

Smoky Mountain Knife Works is probably one of the most insane shops I've ever been to. Prior to…read moremoving to this beautiful state, I came here thinking it was just some knife shop...it's so much more than that! You've never truly been to TN unless you've been inside a three-story shop that sells knives and swords of every kind, guns galore, rocks, fossils, taxidermy, and historical collectors items. I found a few WW2 Germany artifacts here and I knew I was in TN when I could buy a Nazi helmet and a gun at the same time (not that I did nor would desire to, but wow). Browsing their mystical "fossils" was fun, too. As a rock collector, I will say that the rocks were overpriced and honestly, not the greatest collection for clarity. What was priced well were the ninja stars. The staff here are all friendly and helpful, none follow you around which is nice because this store is massive and can easily take over an hour wandering around and browsing. If you're comfortable walking around knowing people are carrying and watching the sell of weapons, this store is pretty cool.
