I was greeted by a courteous young man who I later learned to be the owner's son. He set me up with exactly the service I needed, and he offered a few perks without me even asking. Then he did something completely unexpected... he offered to work out a plan to accommodate my needs during his off time since I was on a tight schedule. I was shocked. The owner contacted me later that day and we confirmed the plan. RRSS is an outstanding family owned business that puts the needs of the customer ahead of all else. I enthusiastically recommend them. I haven't used their storage offerings, but the facility is neat, clean and modern. If my own Mother needed uhaul or storage services, I would tell her to call RRSS.

However after teaching it to multiple levels of employees for a "Texas based grocery company" for over 20 years, it is always a thrill to encounter those who do it so well. When a representative at one location completely dropped the ball and was incredibly rude and dismissive of me to an excessive degree, I posted that account here some time back. The owner responded quickly to my posted 1 star feedback with a sincere apology and a plan to salvage the relationship with me, his customer. His plan included a discounted rate for a period of time. When it was later discovered that I was still receiving the discount past the agreed upon period of time, as it was not updated in their system, the manager called me back w my new rate and start date... with NO MENTION of what it "should have been". Many managers can't help but elaborate in such situations, tooting their own horns and making the customer feel uncomfortable. Not here! Greg (not certain that was mgr's name) was professional, respectful, and even showed a bit of sense of humor. Nice job! There's no question of my choice of storage facilities for now and in the future. In addition, my friends have been made aware that this is a company with leaders who value their customers and focuson the big picture. Thanks, gentlemen!

I rented my PENSKE truck from them and they worked to get me the absolutely best deal. I moved the small amount of stuff that I wasn't moving to DFW into a smaller storage unit that I kept until June of this year. Friday, I rented another PENSKE truck so that my parents could bring me the last of my furniture to Allen, they stayed late waiting on my dad to come get the truck on a Friday afternoon when we misunderstood the time we were supposed to pick it up. He is pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and amenable. He helped make the reservations (I was calling in from out of state so renting sight unseen) and it went without a hitch. Also, upon my delivery date, I found I needed an additional storage unit and Steve arranged it on the spot. And I have worked with Steve a couple of times since I stored my stuff and he has been a real pleasure. The facilities are inside a large warehouse, so are climate controlled. The building is clean and very well maintained. It has sufficient space to navigate. And it is very secure. All entrances are gated and monitored and accessed by individualized key codes to be able to track who entered. There are cameras all over the place and recordings will help determine if there was unauthorized access. They have several dollies and wheeled vehicles available to enable your move. The only surprise was that my unit(s) are on the second floor, I had no idea storage units could be on the second floor. This helps keep my property even more secure, but it added a level of complexity to get the furniture out of the moving truck, into the elevator, out of the elevator and then into the storage unit. However, it all went well I highly recommend Aaron's Self Storage.

A Kings Sons left me high and dry, on the day of arranged service. They were supposed to send a…read moreteam, to pack two PODS, at noon. A person from a help agency (HireAHelper) called me at 9:30 a.m. to say A Kings Son was "stuck on another job" and would not be coming. They could, however, come the next day. If you know anything about dealing with PODS, you know that's not how it works. The audacity and arrogance of A Kings Son to not show and tell us they could come the next day. By the way, when I was trying to contact a Kings Son directly, they did not answer and their voicemail was full. Not only do I NOT recommend, I urge you to do business elsewhere. Correcting their lack of professionalism was a lot of work. I have to rate at least one star, but I do so begrudgingly.
