However after teaching it to multiple levels of employees for a "Texas based grocery company" for over 20 years, it is always a thrill to encounter those who do it so well. When a representative at one location completely dropped the ball and was incredibly rude and dismissive of me to an excessive degree, I posted that account here some time back. The owner responded quickly to my posted 1 star feedback with a sincere apology and a plan to salvage the relationship with me, his customer. His plan included a discounted rate for a period of time. When it was later discovered that I was still receiving the discount past the agreed upon period of time, as it was not updated in their system, the manager called me back w my new rate and start date... with NO MENTION of what it "should have been". Many managers can't help but elaborate in such situations, tooting their own horns and making the customer feel uncomfortable. Not here! Greg (not certain that was mgr's name) was professional, respectful, and even showed a bit of sense of humor. Nice job! There's no question of my choice of storage facilities for now and in the future. In addition, my friends have been made aware that this is a company with leaders who value their customers and focuson the big picture. Thanks, gentlemen!

Greg & Lee took great care of me for 2 1/2 years until I moved the majority of my stuff with me to DFW in January 2005. I rented my PENSKE truck from them and they worked to get me the absolutely best deal. I moved the small amount of stuff that I wasn't moving to DFW into a smaller storage unit that I kept until June of this year. Friday, I rented another PENSKE truck so that my parents could bring me the last of my furniture to Allen, they stayed late waiting on my dad to come get the truck on a Friday afternoon when we misunderstood the time we were supposed to pick it up. We had ordered our truck a month ahead of time and the day before pick up I was notified that the…read moretruck wouldn't be available at this location. We were directed to go to the one on Waco Drive and that is where our truck was. So we drove to the location and started the paperwork. I had purchased the insurance and wanted to make sure what it covered, so I asked a LOT of questions, such as. . ."case scenario, we pull into a fuel station, the truck doesn't clear the awning and there is some damage to said awning. . .are we covered for that awning ?" Answer from the customer service guy "yes. . .you have complete coverage". . .I asked a few more "case scenario" questions about the coverage and was lead to believe that any accidental damage was covered in our policy. So we rent and head to the apartment to load up. My spouse misjudged space (because neighbors wouldn't move their cars so we could put the truck to load in) and accidently clipped the corner of the apartment building. I immediately called the police for an accident report and called Uhaul to let them know what happened. They said we would be contacted by their agent in a few days. We got the call and were informed that they weren't going to cover the damage. . .their insurance policy doesn't cover anything other than their truck. I told the adjustor exact questions I asked the customer service person and his answers. The adjustor stated, and I quote. . ."customer service people at the rental locations are NOT insurance adjustors and are unaware of what is exactly covered in these policies". Great. . so Uhaul has people, working in their facilities that don't know what is/is not covered in the insurance policy they sell. . .so, this accident went against our car insurance policy. So, moral of the story. . .don't believe what Uhaul customer service people tell you about the insurance policy. . .because "they aren't adjustors and are unaware of what is exactly covered in these policies". . .you've been warned if you rent from Uhaul. Me ?? I wont' be renting from them again. . .lesson learned. . .I'll let movers do the moving for us.

Marcus Brown, the general manager of this U-Haul, rocks…read more I got a U-Box from this location and also rented a pickup to take it to the house for loading things to ship to my daughter. Marcus was personable and professional and kept things moving along quickly which was important because I was on a tight schedule. When I got back to my house, I realized that I didn't get the 12 free moving blankets that were included in the U-Box contract. I called Marcus just to make sure his paperwork showed those free blankets before I headed back over to pick them up. But instead ... wait for it ... Marcus said he'd bring them right over. And he did. And not an hour later, but in less than 10 minutes. It was like being in the nice version of the Twilight Zone. I'm 59 and I can't remember that ever happening before. I had rented…read morea walk behind trencher on a Friday morning 10:00 taken to the job started work and got 10 ft before I hit rock . I call sun and told them what happened and asked if they had anything that would cut though rock , yes they replied. Great can I bring the want my hand back to you and put it towards renting the rock saw ? No refund they said , it had been 1 hr ! Well 30 percent off was the best he can do . So $1000.00 for 50' because of these good folks ! Never again there other rental place that help out way better . Move on!
