The manager is wonderful! Such an amazing business! I had my dryer fixed here it worked great afterwards they did a excellent job at fixing it but it did break a couple months later however I think that's just an issue with the dryer not the company! The worst service ever! The manager Milton tries his best. But you advertise installation on appliances, but can't connect washers or anything that applies to a water line in fear of.being held accountable fpr any damages. Washer breaks after only 3 months and I have to deal with manufacture while I'm still.paying on it. I shouldn't have to! Horrendous experience. Lies on top of lies on top of lies. My living room has been furniture-less for 3 days now. We were given a Monday delivery date, and like most upstanding normal human beings, we moved the old furniture out Sunday. We had a positive delivery date and even time window. Monday came and excuse number one. We were promised to be the first delivery the following day (today) get a call thinking they were on the way....nope, cancelled again. So here we sit in our home with 2 children and nowhere to sit in our living room. When speaking with the rude and condescending manager who likes to speak over women instead of listening, he asked us what we wanted him to do...well, just follow through with your promise of delivery. Now you tell us that maybe you can get to delivering it at the end of this week, maybe next?? Unacceptable as a manager in a larger customer service oriented business. We have contacted corporate and are waiting a response. The next avenue is the Better Business Bureau. Especially after reading so many similar reviews about this manager. How this man is still a manager is mind blowing to me. You can't close the store to lift a finger and help deliver things you're required to fulfill WITH PAYMENT RECEIVED, but you'll sure as the day is long sit there and take more orders knowing full well you can't deliver the merchandise you've already sold. I placed an order online easy process. Got a call a few days later on a Friday the item has been delivered to store and would be delivered to me Monday. I them get a call Saturday from Milton (very unprofessional) that he needs my credit card info over the phone. I ask why would I have to give him my card info over the phone when it's already in the account online. He insisted that I give him the card info or he would not deliver. Long story short he delayed the order I called Monday after waiting all day for delivery to be told that it is pending review I ask to speak to manager Milton I knew he did something for it to go from delivery Monday 11-3 to now pending review. He stated multiple times he was there "18 years" and I asked why did he delay the order he stated that if I don't give me my card info over the phone (although Aaron's has that info already) he's going to "charge me a months rent first before he delivers" the item because I didn't want to give him info that was already available online. After saying "he been there 18 years" again he then said he's "going to cancel my order because he doesn't feel comfortable doing business with me." I have no item and I hope they don't charge me for something I don't have or were going to court. Aarons must loose lots of money if this person been there 18 years could only imagine. I have no issue with taking my business elsewhere which I have to do because I need the item I attempted to order ASAP. It was extremely unwarranted and unprofessional and something needs to be done about this attempted harassment and intimidation procedure. read more

Where do I begin, I am living with two roommates so I thought I would rent furniture to see how it goes and how they go. Well, let me tell you about the drama. First the references on speed dial and the annoyance that became when I had a hysterectomy and was out of work for three months. I was waiting for the slow disability payments and unemployment. I understand that Aarons is a business, so I advised them that I am going to the hospital and that I have already been out of work for two months for pre-surgery symptoms. I told them to come and get the furniture because my health and rent comes first. I find that to be common sense. They still kept the furniture here. I advised them again once i got out of the hospital, "come and get your furniture" and I will pay the back amount for two months of $297.00. They still would come and get it. On September 30, 2019, I spoke with Plainfield Manager, which is a Latino gentleman. I advise him that I do not want it once again for the fourth time. He stated, "oh I thought you wanted to work it out." What damn part they not getting in the ghetto Aaron's store in Plainfield, NJ. So he stated on October 4 at 3pm, they were coming to get the dining table set, sofa and loveseat set, and two tv stands. I called at 12:51 pm on Friday, October 4, 2019, and confirmed, the guy told me that I was not on the list for pick up and that the manager will be back in an hour. Well, its the longest damn hour of my life. Today October 6, 2019, I called back, knowing that they were going to lie again. Oh, the manager isn't in today. This retail, there is always a manager or at least an assistant one. Get real!!!. Bullshit. Now I have there furniture set aside in my living and dining area, taking up space. I will not call them again to pick this shit up I am moving next month and who ever is in this house can do what they want. OR I will have movers to put it on the garbage, because this is a house that my landlords on and when new tenants come in and they want to bring their furniture, where are they going to put theirs. They allow this worker named Hose to call and harrass you for payment then he is able to swipe the card you have on file without your permission as though to force you to pay! Outrageous! I have a horrible horrible experience with Aarons. In the beginning it seemed like a good deal to pay approx. $700 for some used furniture that seemed real good. They have an offer to pay without interest if paid in full by 90 days. We took the offer. First, their website is weird and has no history of payments or how much balance is required to pay off. We paid off in before by 90 days. But these guys would not give us the certificate of ownership. We let a few days go by and that was our mistake. When we got back to them on phone, they said we have not completed our payments. They showed some other "maintenance" payment that is due, which we don't remember requesting at all. Then we realized that the sales person who explained the payments took us for a ride. They were in a real hurry to close the store that Saturday evening. Second mistake.. not reading and seeing the minute details of the agreement. But, these agreements are real misleading. It seems to mean both ways. What would you do when you get a agreement document? Pay money to a lawyer and see what it means? You can't do that all the time! They said I had to pay some $270 more because of the more-than-90-days (during which time I had assumed I paid off). I expressed my anger to the manager at this store. She swore that this will be the end. I figured there was no other way to deal with this peacefully so I paid it. But the website shows no confirmation of the deal being completed. I asked her to fax me something in writing that the deal is complete. She never did. Now.. surprise... The ownership cert does not come. When I call them they say even though I paid the extra $270, the deal is not complete. It gets complete only if I came to their stores in person and paid it off. What the heck!! Never heard of that one anywhere! Now they said I need to pay some $30 more because of the 1 month additional delay that I caused by not coming to their store. I was damn pissed. Everytime I ever called their store, one Ms. Carla picks up, but never forwards any messages, never tells anybody about anything. Minutes of waiting, no use. Phone bill's rising. Somehow I catch hold of the higher-up manager.. one Mr. Donald. I explain everything to him. I tell him how I had to pay more money even after paying everything on time. He says the interest is what is their business. Then why the hell do they advertise that it is 90 days interest free??? Then I complain about this manager and tell him she never keeps up her word. He said he's gonna look into it and make her pay the extra. In the end, after weeks of more waiting, I did get the certificate, only to swear that I will never purchase anything from Aarons ever ever again. Oh, I still kept getting legal warning letters from Aarons!! All the while being scared of legal consequences and spending thousands of dollars on that side. Horrible sales rep. Horrible presence on phone. Horrible rude attitude with manager. Horrible finance calculations. Horrible website for payments. Definitely would not recommend this store to anyone. If you are buying something from unnown sellers.. don't go for extended payment periods and always ask for a final deal making certificate of ownership.
