Wyatt, our technician, was a little frustrated because the tech who inspected our dryer two weeks ago left it unassembled. Sears really needs to figure out the scheduling and notifications. On one occasion, I was sitting at the kitchen table, 15 feet from the front door, when I got a message that the tech had been there, knocked and left. There is a doorbell which he chose not to use. I bill $375 per hour, and wasted about three hours sitting at the house waiting for a tech who either showed up and left, or canceled.

He quoted us 225 for parts and labor but refused to clean the clogged vent. So we decide to get a second opinion he wanted 85 service call when it only took him 5 min to find out what the problem was. He is local so his gas was not that much. So we were stuck and used him he repaired our dryer but it is still not working we need to find somebody to clean out the vent now. What good does it do to repair and service appliances if you can't leave a working dryer and his prices are exaggerated. Please do not use this man. He is dishonest.

Instead of being greeted by a salesperson, you are greeted by an island of half a dozen people or more with computers and headphones. It is very sad to see such a wonderful place disappear. The person who helped me went out of her way; I needed some air filters for a Miele vacuum, which they sell. She managed to find a stash in service and eventually figured out how to correctly enter the sale into what seemed like an overly complicated inventory system. A sad day for Kalona -- one more piece of humanity disappeared. I'll never go back.

The compressor runs all the time, which might be because the air vents were never properly unwrapped upon delivery and are still jammed with styrofoam. We contacted Grand Appliance and they said to contact Centricity, who handles repairs. Centricity said to contact Whirlpool, who said they could not help us. Looks like the warranty is no longer honored, and we'll be stuck paying for a simple repair.
