We had an old dryer that stopped heating up and drying clothes. We called Purchase Appliances on a…read morerecommendation to have it looked at and repaired. The first repair man came out and said it needed a new timer. That visit causes $116 we had purchased appliance order the timer and that was another $218. The second repair man came out and installed the timer and the dryer still did not work. He could not find the problem. That visit cost us $175. They sent a third repair man out and he could not fix it either. Could not figure out what was wrong with it. No charge for that visit. At this point, we have $509 in a used dryer that does not work. We headed down to the store to see what our options were. They had a used dryer at their store that they were selling for $300. They gave us $250 credit for our dryer which had a new $200 timer on it. So we ended up putting in an additional $50 to get another used dryer. Then they delivered and installed the dryer we bought from them for $155. When they came to install the dryer, the cord on the dryer was not long enough to reach the plug in our house. I made a trip down to Paducah to pick up a longer cord and they charged me $40 for it. I told them I didn't feel it was fair for me to have to pay for the cord after all we have gone through and the expense we have gone through but they would not budge. The cord started out at $45 and they knocked it down to $40. So now we have $754 in a used dryer. We could have bought a brand new one cheaper. And they thought I was being unreasonable asking them to cover a $40 cord for the dryer. They took no accountability in their part of not being able to fix it. A clothes dryer is one of the simplest appliances there are out there. It's hard for me to believe somebody couldn't fix that thing.

just now Absolutely horrible business. Had a minor issue…read morewith our washer not draining occasionally so we had to recycle it once in about 10 or 15 loads. Called and spoke to the owner since we bought the washer from him. He advised when something like that happens it's usually just a sock has gotten behind the tub and intermittently blocks the drain. We set up a service appt and that's when the trouble began. Service man showed up and started trashing the machine. Never checked for anything behind tub. Said we had ruined the latch by slamming the lid the tipped it over and said oh it's shot and you can't get parts for these old machines(3yrs old). Started taking it apart then said belts shot the transmission is leaking oil and pumps bad. When he got done he said since it's shot I'll just throw these parts inside it. Then handed me a bill for $155 and said if you buy a new one he will probably forget this bill and with out asking called the store and said he wants to buy a new one and handed me the phone. I paid the bill and told him to get out. I called the owner and told him his guy destroyed my machine and wanted my money back. He agreed to just charge me $75 for the service call and refund the rest. When I went in he tried to short me $15 on the refund. I asked him if he was even concerned his employee destroyed our machine. His response was what am I supposed to do with a trusted employee, take him out back and shoot him. A very arrogant rude person who apparently doesn't care about repeat customers. So much for supporting our local small businesses.

Hi, I've been a customer of Bryan Furniture for the last 4 years. I normally don't write many…read morereviews, but I had to acknowledge the great customer service at this furniture store. I bought a large sofa that had 3 recliners, and 2 additional seats in it. I bought this sofa for great price over 2 years ago. I've enjoyed the sofa very much, but recently one of the mechanisms in one of the recliners broke making it hard to open and close. I called Bryan Furniture to just see if I could replace the one recliner, since the sectional came in three parts. Joe, a friendly and knowledgable salesman called the manufacture himself to find out what could done to fix or replace the individual recliner. The manufacturer stated the part I'm looking for including the entire sofa is no longer being made, or serviced. Joe apologized for my convenience and said he would be willing to take back my entire old sofa, and exchange it for a brand new one of my choice(within reason). :-) You just don't see customer service like this anymore. I recommend Joe, and Bryan Furniture for all your household needs. Excellent store with huge varieties at great prices. Class A place. Sincerely, Aron.
